I can't believe Dell 2007FPW is leading. LOL... That's what I have right now and it's by no means the best 20-21" LCD monitor. Most people have it because it's cheap as hell. Talk about biased...
Snowdog said it best. Dell's aren't Samsung or LG but they are very very cheap. They aren't bad either and 3 year warranty is a big plus.
Heck, even I couldn't justify spending $200-300 more on a better monitor. I'm pretty satisfied with my Dell 2007FPW.
High pitch noise is definitely not normal. You should try to get it fixed. Try calling Samsung tech support. They have an amazing replacement warranty.
I have a 2007WFP. It's a nice monitor. I like it alot but it's not perfect. After all, you get what you pay for. It's cheap for a reason although I think it's still a great value. If money is your issue, I would just go with 2007WFP, but if you want something better, I would definitely get...
