I have the exact same setup. I use a optical cable as it sounds better than using analog, a bit more clear. However I do use my headphones 95% of the time. When I used my speakers more it was analog for gaming, and optical for music/movies.
For Crysis you might want to look into the mod Real Lifesis. Looks amazing. Haven't used it myself since my computer can hardly handle Crysis the way it is.

I actually just installed FF7 in my 64bit vista a couple weeks ago. Here's a rundown of what i did:
1.Install the game
2.Download following:
1.02 patch
chocobo patch
truemotion codec
and install them in that order
3.Apply any mods you want, HD patch, mp3 music patch, higher...

Well it doesn't need to be perform super fast or anything, so I'm not too worried about it eating CPU cycles, its never even close to 100% anyways with the quad-core.
Looks like ill end up going with software based since i don't got that much cash to spend on a hardware one...

So i've finally filled up all my hdd's ~1tb worth. So i need to upgrade my storage, but i want some security with the raid 5.

Got it fixed, but the plugging both cables in, unplugging power, etc.. trick didn't work for me.
What ended up fixing it for me was plugging another computer into the monitor (with an ATI card) in and it just started working.
Just the resolution, and i had to move it a bit for it to fit right. All those settings should of been reset to default anyways with the driver reinstall.
Last i checked it would still work with the TV. Im using it with my LCD atm with the adapter still and its fine. I did reset some stuff in the Nvidia control panel, put also reinstalled the drivers which put it all at default anyways.
So the other day i decided to hook my computer up to the TV with a DVI to HDMI cable to see how movies looked, etc.. for fun. I changed a few settings around so it displayed better and right on the TV.
Now my problem, when i went back to hook the computer back to my LCD, it doesn't display...
