hmm... would it make you all any more comfortable if i shared what i did last night...?
no, seriously though, at about midnight last night/this morning, my 510 Deluxe began billowing smoke. i don't know why it happened; all i'm running is:
200gb 7200rpm western digital hdd
120gb 7200rpm...
cheating!? but cheating takes all the fun out of the game...
...oh, wait. fun?
well, yeah, i beat the game without cheating once. there were some very imaginative parts in it that you probably wouldn't catch if you were cheating, so i'm glad i found them. on the whole, though, if i go...
you don't quite ever get around to talking about rails. that's a pretty brief discussion (though i don't know enough to write it myself) and it adds one of the most important factors in PSU evaluation.
other points: rated temperature and voltage regulation.
hmm... i might have to try this again, if it's working so well. 2 quick Q's:
1) is the thing heavy enough to crush the CPU if it (the case) were transported? i mean, would i have to remove the thing every time i wanted to travel? just your own opinions on this, to the 3 of you that have...
is that not a reservoir i see? are those not liquid-filled tubes. in fact, though i could be mistaken, that's a radiator and pump right there too. oh, it's a watercooling setup. where the heat transfers through a block into the liquid and out through that mostly-clear radiator.
sure it's a mod. not a very sophisticated mod, but it's sure not not running it stock. that's the distinction. (i.e. - you cut out the fan grills on a case; now it's modded. simple to do, takes like 5 mins with cutters, but it's a mod all the same).
call in, tell them it's time for a personal day. s'what i do on those occasional days when there's no other option. of course, not if they're going to fire you over it. s'not worth it in that casel where'll you get an income to keep buying hardware
Looks to me like it went from Illonois (sp?) to Tennessee (sp?) to Ohio. Definately not same-state shipping. That "FedEx Ramp" in Cleveland might be a major hub, though... ?
If you're talking CS, then it's better to stop for an instant and squeeze off a shot or two and keep going. In UT, just keep going. It depends per game, since in CS your accuracy is lowered as you move/jump, etc.
either one. if you want to move closer, then hold W; otherwise, don't. do it...
I ordered C&C: Renegade yesterday with 2-day delivery and it skipped overnight and showed up at my place this morning (like 12:00) while I was at work. I didn't think FedEx would deliver early like that. Well, this is really sweet, because I've wanted to play that game for so long (and I...
technicalities. for all intents and purposes, it's an ultra that's clocked lower (which can be fixed), has less cooling (which can be fixed), and didn't pass all the tests (which doesn't necessarily means it won't hit ultra speeds). i'd call it darned close enough, coming from a 5900xt user...
i read a thread in some random forum that it might be a problem with AGP drivers. perhaps there are new ones that need installing before they'll work right.
and the gf2 GTS as fast as the mx460? well, not in my experience, but then it could have been the placebo effect, as i wan't really...
you know what? it's weird that you mention that, because while i was putting together my brother's gf's computer last month, the same thing happened to me with the mx 460. when booting with generic drivers, it worked fine, but with the latest drivers it would go into standby just before/while...
