most gigabyte z68 boards come with virtu which allows you to use a discreet graphics card and use intergrated graphics for Quick sync and even allows for on the fly switching with monitor being plugged into only one (either into mobo hdmi or discreet card)
i would go with the quad because the cost isn't a big factor between the 2 and the quads are going to be utilized more in the future and any kind of video editing or converting the quads perform better, and with high def soon to be the standard video files are going to be larger than ever
Well personally i would recommend a board that uses ddr 2 memory, the asus blitz formula is what i got about a month ago and it's great , probably hard to get now so i would probably get a gigabyte or an asus p35 board with ddr 2 memory.
the ddr 3 memory is ALOT more exspensive and not really...

Yep ,Probably gonna need a power supply enginurd caught that,and you may also need an adapter i know dell used to make the plugs on their power supplys and motherboards different so you would have to buy replacements from them,but i don't know if thats still the case i'm sure someone will post...

i had something like that before i can't remember what exactly but i couldn't erase it so i used partition magic to just delete and format the whole partition
check out toms hardware vga charts and you can compare cards and it will show you how many frames per second each card will get ,it's great for comparing cards
well if you run xp and are not concearned with dx 10 then i would suggest the 7900 gs

well i would go with the q6600 for a processor and as for a motherboard just make sure to choose one where the sata plugs plug straight in ,not pluging in from the side of the board
