there could be some air in the loop ...while the system is running tilt it at all angles(not to much) and squeez the tubes a little befor and after the rad and cpu block

i was not happy with my 8800gts and cpu when i had a bi 120.2. i switched over to a thermochill 120.2 (about 2x as thick). i will say i use low speed fans. i would go pa 120.2 or thermochill pa 160 or with b.i. 120.3 or better for a medium speed fan setup
i think a bigger rad should drop...
on my psp i fixed one by running a program that flashed soild colors,, i ran it for a few hours... however i think the issue was different on the psp screen it was defects they just needed to break in not shure if it is similar to your pixel cause theres different kinds of stuck and broke
how many large drive bays you got?.... if you want a use a internal rad top mounted you can useually fit a 2x120 and in 1-2 of the 5.5in drive bays with rad and fans.. so 2-3 bays with one open below rad for air .. thats if you case is a standard design and your willing to cut the top for fan...

as for a cpu only loop with a good parts maybe $250 dtek/d5
i know thats probly not the answer you looking for, as far as it fiting in the case most people run external rads attached to the top or back so you just need to worry about the pump and the blocks inside
