I have a 2600k, 8 threads, 5Ghz stable. Not a 2500k. Think max volt is 1.42 something and temps max out at 72 - 73c. Bought the cpu off eBay where the guy had it listed as 5.2Ghz stable for $375 maybe 8 months ago. I've validated it at 5.2Ghz and put it through 45 mins of stress testing before...
See, power cost savings mean very little to me. I'm a power user. And besides, I already know the real world cost difference between SB and IB is $10 to $15 dollars yearly.
I think a lot of people are using the the whole lower voltage and power savings as a crutch to validate their purchase...
New i7 3770k here with Asus Sabertooth Z77 board. Spent all night trying to get it dialed in. Horrible temps. AS5 applied and re-applied twice. Using Corsair H100 with Push / Pull fans. Excellent contact with the CPU.
Used the ASUS Z77 UEFI Tuning Guide for overclocking, found here...
First of all, AMD needs to release a tool that wipes their drivers "entirely" from a users system. For the community to be forced to furnish these tools themselves is beyond stupid. AMD, seriously? Can you fix this?
Why this hasn't happened yet is just more of AMD performing poorly toward...
Not sure how many of you here read engadget on a regular basis, if at all. From time to time they will have articles / links on the "real" cost of these smart phones. They break down the components, materials, labor, marketing, etc and arrive at the factual cost of each unit. Surprise, the cost...
America Movil doesn't own infrastructure. They have multu-year, for many years to come, contracts with ATT / Tmobile to use their infrastructure, these are billion dollar contracts that are not going anywhere anytime soon. A lot of people get it twisted that just because a small demographic like...
Sounds smart. <-- Sarcasm of course. There is a reason people try and save money this way. They cannot afford the traditional cost of this product. Take that away, you force people into a corner and in some cases, not all, piracy.
From the vibe I'm getting, I thought people ( enthusiasts ) in general, were passing on the 3930k because of the heat / inability to get to 4.8 - 5.0ghz.
With 22nm and 8 / 10 cores on the horizon and the potency level of the 2600k, this waiting game is pretty easy to undertake.
Not to say, I...
I have had 4 OCZ ssd drives fail me in a row. 3 different models. 1 was a replacement for the 2nd to the last model I owned. This was across two personal machines. In addition, after drives failed, I double checked in my laptop and girlfriends computer. No go.
Not only no go, but no good...
Interested in the Corsair SSD if you can come down to $130 shipped. Seeing a lot of the newer 120gig SSD's out there that are much faster for around $150 new like the Sandisk or a few of the OCZ models, also a few others are around $150 after rebate. Can't blame me for wanting to save at least...
encrypted server connection SSL ?
wouldn't this fix that? Or no?
I use this for my usenet. From what I understand it also prevents an ISP from seeing the bandwidth as well.
prolly something I miss-read
Not 100% sure.
Yes, not just newegg but a lot of web retail has this same type of feature. If a product see's a lot of hits within a short period of time, then there is great interest. Where there is smoke, there is fire and the system kicks in a pre-determined amount to be added to said product.
Smart but...
Man, do not pass this deal up. $100 dollars off? Yes the code worked. I just jumped all over this.
