I think the issue is that xoticpc claims they will price match but give no specifics for what would qualify for a price match. Then they follow that up with not honoring a price match because a competitor is giving too good of a deal.
If a company is going to try to use price matching as a...
I've just bought my first AMD card (7950) and have always had Nvidia in the past.
I've not had any problems with either.
While it's seems to be the common opinion that AMD software/drivers are worse, so far I have had no issues and it was simply plug and play.
Not saying people don't...
Looks like Amazon is sold out of the 120GB version but I went ahead and bought the 240gb version.
The nice thing is it comes with the 2.5 to 3.5 drive bay adapter. Most of the other deals that I have seen were for a barebones drive.
Buy.com deal is decent but would guess most people would...
I can't stand glossy monitors. If i wanted a mirror, then I would have gotten a mirror instead of a monitor.
Everyone has different opinions though but AG coating IMO is the lesser of two evils.
I purchased a Samsung 830 128 GB for $85 and a SanDisk Extreme 120 GB for $80.
The deal isn't much different than recent deals on other SSDs from more reliable companies.
I just bought the 120 GB version for my 4 year old laptop to replace the OCZ Vertex 60 GB.
Not sure I can talk myself into the 240 GB version as a secondary SSD for my desktop. Think I'll wait til I actually need more space with the way prices are falling.
i might down the road. I don't have any games at the moment that would even make it break a sweat on a single 20in monitor.
Although planning on getting Skyrim and a few other games but should still be able to handle that with ease anyway.
Interesting that he acts like being a reference card directly from nvidia is a positive when a lot of non-reference cards actually make improvements with better fans and overclocking out of the box.
With the price of the 660ti falling between $299-345, not sure it will shake down the prices in the $200-250 range as there still isn't much competition there.
The only caveat being if the 660ti is a higher performer than expected or if it quickly falls in price.
for a smaller step up, you could get a 7850 for around $200. The nicer OC versions run about $240-250 though but at that point it's hard not to recommend spending the extra $60 for a 7950 OC.
