Oh, the memories of Qcon and the 37" Westy. I used mine for 5 years before passing it onto my son who used it for another 3. It died 3 or 4 years ago. What a great piece of hardware for its time!

CPU is a 4670 typically running at 4.2ghz. 16gb ram. I have an 850w power supply as well.

It makes almost any music you like, even better.

I have a friend that has an H60 going on 4 years. My H80i is going on two years. Both are mostly ran 24 hrs/day. They seem pretty reliable.

It works. It's technically sound. With all of the variations in motherboards and what not, it's almost guaranteed to run across an issue like this. Nobody can see it, even if they could, what difference does it make having a washer on each corner of the backplate?

dead thread revival..... The AudioTechnica MTH50 is a great set of cans for a very affordable price....simply great for music with a solid low end that is not boomy or muddy. Music is fantastic in them.

Dude, you aren't ghetto enough unless you use your two stroke leaf blower to blast out the dust. I just set mine on my patio table, block off the fans so they won't spin warp speed, and let 'er rip!

$500 is not cheap, nor "bang for buck" though ;)

Weird, I assume the H100i uses the same fans as the 80i, and I find my fans stock fans perfect at 1000-1250 rpm. I can crank them up but honestly I get only 1-2c better cooling with the fans at "loud" speeds....

I won't say all of them are junk, but there are better choices for less money.

A little late...but a solid sub from a well known manufacturer, cheap, and plays louder than you think.... I paired one of these with my Andrew Jones/Pioneer mains/center and I am very happy! I have a small/medium room with a Samsung 55" LED dispaly and man, this setup rocks. For 129 bucks you...

I had a "deathstar" die in my mom's rig a few weeks ago...it literally caught fire at the sata connector and took out the drive above it as well before she could pull the plug. The PC was running still when it roasted and smoke was coming out the vents...luckily she was there when it went down.
