Perhaps so-- and I'm a big competition advocate along with you.
I'm glad that the service I get with them is adequate for my needs- but they will fail or get Borg-ed if they don't start making more of their customers feel the way I do about them-- which is a solid 7.5-8/10.
(In my estimation...
I'm glad I don't work in the mobile phone industry-- the breathless angry hyperbole is astonishing.
These are handheld phones people-- subject the the terrain, weather, and tons of building materials between you and the towers.
I know it is annoying, but jeez-- have a little perspective...
I've had an EVO 4G for coming up on two years now, and it's far and away the best phone I've ever had.
I was pissed at the prospect of having to ditch HTC when I saw the One X was AT&T only.
I figured I'd have to sit for the Galaxy III, hopefully by midyear- which I was OK with-- but seeing the...
There's a reason I haven't owned a game console since PS2- I hate playing dumbed-down, oversimplified games.
Bioware forces everyone with high-power hardware to play a game today using 7+ year old technology. Why? They are too busy working on quality stories? Evidently not...
Never mind- I...
Upon further review, the 7770 does seem pretty mild after all. It's been two years since I have paid any real attention to advancements in GPU's, so I hope I don't sound too ignorant. Should'a done some more homework before posting.
I remind you that my 5870 is hanging up pretty bad lately-...
A deeper, fundamental explanation of the many correct observations posted above.
an excerpt:
The prices are what they are because they sell at these prices. When they don't, or the price becomes non-competitive (same thing), they will fall.
One thing to remember is that inflation is occurring...
I'm looking for a reasonable upgrade from my Radeon 5800 series- (gearing up for Mass Effect 3)
After reading your positive review on the XFX R7770 Black EditionI figured it would be a nice
upgrade.
But-
Do you guys think the 7850 would be a substantial enough improvement over the 7770 that I...
I'm having the exact same problem as everyone else.
XFX 5870. CAn't run anything without lockups like you.
WTF ATI?
FOUR months after your release of this product and you can't tell us why we spent $400 on your card.
I was so excited to get back into gaming after a several-year hiatus...
As someone else stated above, PSU's are generally most reliable and efficient when they operate in the 40-60% range of their max output, right?
Your numbers are helpful, and make me feel pretty safe about going with the 750W.
Call me cautious, or maybe prone to overkill-- but for stability and...
I'm building/ordering for it now.
MSI GD-80, i7 860, 8G DDR3 1600, and (2x) 7200RPM 1TB HDD's.
I'll likely use MSI's on-board OC'ing utility only. I will likely OC the 5870 somewhat, but stability is more important to me than anything else.
I'm not sure what the specific bottleneck is, but it's taking forever to do anything when I have Photoshop, ID, and the Bridge running at once. This is a good gfx card, but you can tell it's a mobile solution... I haven't gamed on it at all.
I love this laptop-- don't get me wrong-- but for...
I have a small publishing company, and do a great deal of work on Adobe Indesign Photoshop, and Illustrator (the whole CS2 suite, really).
Right now, I use my laptop (Lenovo/IBM T-60p Centrino Duo T2500 w/2Gig DDR2 and ATI FireGL 5200) as my primary layout/design workstation. This, as you...
I agree-- don't forget to check eBay-- I got a second battery for my IBM/Lenovo T60p for $86 brand-new a few weeks ago(was like ~$103 after shipping, I think) from a store out of China-- they cost $159 everywhere else I have found, and I had it here in NC in two days.
I've detected no ghosting in my use so far-- the image is crisp as anything.
That part I'll have to defer on, as I only use it at the 1600x1200 res.
I'll look when I get home though...
Well, I disabled the on-board Nvidia LAN, and added a new network card to the com.
Other than another unexplained BSOD following the first restart with the new card, after I got the driver installed on the second start-up, everything seems to be great now-- I'm writing this from my un-plugged...
I'm writing this now on my shiny (well, matte, actually) new T60p, and I absolutely love it-- seems to be everything I could have ever hoped for-- very solid, well-built feel, not at all like some of the plasticky-toy-like notebooks out there... it's fast, the 15" Flexview screen (@1600x1200) is...
Thank you guys-- though I am not exactly happy to hear what you have to say...
To the emulation/Vdrive question-- no I don't think so, (...ahem... I can't even say I know what exactly that is :o )
It's been OK in reading a few others discs (mainly audio)
Oh, and for the install/reformat...
So are you suggesting there's a problem with the router hardware-wise?
I say this because as previously mentioned, I've had a perfectly functional system until now, so I seriously doubt that it's hardware related on my end...
I can start the com w/ all cables plugged in, and will still get a BSOD (now with IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL)
I got into the router through firefox, looked around there, but have no way to do anything, as it is as though I am not even connected according to the router's lack of IP addy.
Then,at...
Hey guys--
Here's my specs-- Abit A8N Ultra, WinXPsp2, Kerio Personal Firewall
Following install instructions exactly from the Linksys install CD--
As soon as the CD checks system requirements, after all cables are connected, I get a BSOD with a BAD_POOL (or the like) message...
For what it's worth, I just placed an order for my T60p last night-- before thinking to look in here for any reviews (I know, I know-- shame on me...)
I'm happy to say I've seen a preponderance of evidence that I made an excellent decision for my first laptop. I've been a serious computer user...
I just got off the phone with Samsung's tech support regarding my 2 month-old SyncMaster 1100DF 21" monitor--
It has these radiating lines/imperfections in the image, and has from the start, though I admit that they aren't extremely obvious unless you know they're there. Of course, it's now...
You have to have two identicle-sized sticks-- in the right order (depends on mobo)
Any other combination (aside from 4x same size) results in 333mhz speed-- 3 sticks= downgraded speed.
Go spend the $85 for a pair of decent 512 modules-- ;)
OK-- I have my main drive recognized and working (though somehow I had to call it a JBOD RAID array in the bios for the damned MOBO to see it and boot from it.
Now I still can't get the OS to recognize my Recovery drive with all my parsonal files on it. Windows sees it as a drive in disk...
Is anyone else having this problem?
Ever since I got the game, (the first I've played on my new rig: XP-Pro, ABIT AN8 Ultra, AMD 4400+ X2, the 7800, 2GB Patriot low-latency, M-Audio 1010LT audio) I've had sporadic artifacts occuring-- I'm talking little patches of white dots that appear for...
What would you guys recommend for non-OC'ing?
I'm building a com for my girlfriend, and need some stable, bulletproof memory for it-- never to be OC'd, just good, solid RAM.
I want 1 Gig.
OK-- what about a completely non-gaming solution?
this is for a com I'm building for my girlfriend, who won't ever play any games whatsoever (and with my Asus 7800GTX-TOP-laden system, she has access to whatever desire she has to play on there ;) )
I want something that's cheap. but will...
Thanks guys--
I am thinking I can't go wrong whatever I do since I have the recovery drive with an image of my primary HDD that's only 2 weeks old-- so I could just erase the primary with a fresh Windows install and recover it to its prior state through Ghost-- (this is only if Windows still...
I actually have a Norton Ghost backup of C: on my recovery ( R: ) drive-- (one of the three total in my system), but I can't get the com to see any of my sata's to perform the backup, so until I can get the mobo to see the drives in the first place, the utilities wouldn't do me any good...right?.
Thanks for the replies so far--
I bought this mobo based on the review I read here
You know-- the one from just over a month ago, that recommended this exact board as it's ONLY AMD option for it's upgrade guide.
Had I known that the powers-that-be here would be so stunningly...
I need some help here everyone:
My 6800GT fried last week (MSI) and since I had more money than I did in Feb. when I bought the card, I decided to upgrade some other stuff wit it--
I went with the $2000 guides suggestion of the Abit AN8 Ultra, and also the X2 4400 processor-- with this I...
