Some cop posted this Note on a Police e-mail bulletin.
Since this is an LCD forum, it might be of interest here.
I've never used the guy's "method" so I have no opinion.
Here's what it said (edited)......

The great "1080P War of 2007" is heating up as more manufacturers (like Phillips and Magnavox on June-1, only 3 weeks from now) enter the 1080P market.
Here's the latest company to enter the fray.....
Frys.com is selling an Emprex (Chinese?) 37" 1080P LCDTV for only ten ninety nine.

:) Amazon is now taking "pre-orders" for some new 1080P's.
Apparently these are "totally-new" LCD-TV models, entering the market on June 1-----and Amazon seems to already have them in stock.
There are 5 of them......
A 37" 1080P, and a 42" 1080P from Magnavox --------and a 42" 1080P, and two...
My superb 1-yr-old 30" Dell 3007 LCD monitor has a max resolution of 2560x1600.
I'd like to buy a bigger monitor, but DON'T want to drop down to "1080p" resolution (1920x1080).
That, would be a big step backwards in screen "clarity n' sharpness".
So my question is-----who makes a "hi-rez LCD...
Benq's answer to the hot-selling 37" Westinghouse 1080P monitor is its new 37" Benq 1080P.
One vendor's price is "$1699 --- 2-3 weeks wait". (prolly Benq's 'release date' for this new monitor).

Dell has responded to $2400 Apple 30" Cinema price cut by cutting price of $2200 Dell 30" 3007WFP.
I won't quote the new 3007 price cuz it might not be a rigid, fixed-price.

This guy claims to sell 30" LCD "Wholesale Price List" for about $8.00. (You bid on it).

:D It looks like the 2407 and 2007 will definitely for sure be out next week. Can't say any more.
I erased all the additional info, because some people don't like it. My sincere apologies, I don't want to aggravate anyone.
I've erased quotes, etc. whereever I could. Again, my apologies.
WidescreenGaming claims it has "Release Date n' Specs" for two of the 3 new Dell Widescreen LCDs.
Date for the 3rd (the 27" 2707FPW) listed as 'To be determined".
Some are IPS panels, others PVA, all are HDCP.
Not everyone there is joyful, happy...
I'm not in market for 20" Widescreen, but someone here might be interested.
Is it a good price?

Dell's new 2407, 2707, 3007 Monitors seem to be using Samsung's replacement for the now-aging "PVA" panel.
Samsung calls this new panel "Super-PVA" at their website (in "E-Brochure"). In Docs they abbreviate it "S-PVA".
(See Link below for Samsung site). Here are the new panels:

Newbys need a mobo manual with lots of clear and detailed instructions.
Is there a better, more detailed, mobo manual than Asus? Its big and all in English.
MSI manual (if I recall correctly) is only few pages long, and some are not in English.
How about Abit, Gigabyte, ECS etc. ? Thanks.
