Wow, You guys were right on with the PSU comment ;), i was surprised that this happened so quick becasue i know i have a solid motherboard, and i know that processors rarely go bad (especially when at stock speed)......
i just unplugged my PSU, and plugged it back in and the damn thing...
No other mobo.
some of the fans are connected to the mobo, some to the psu...
shouldn't the mobo beep if there was something else not working (such as cpu or ram)?
thanks,
actually case fans are all spining (5 in total), only cpu fan not spinning...(spinning on and off)
i do have an extra psu, i will try that tonight..........
any other suggestions ?
thanks,

Any ideas?
my lcd is 1680x1050, my TV works perfectly on my...
I'm starting to think that this is not going to work, i think only certain video cards support this. i have never heard of video cards that support tv-out through VGA before! that is the requirement for this to work. my laptop with the intel 950gma series chipset supports tv-out through a tv out...
thanks for the reply,
it works meaning that the tv does get a signal, but the signal is distorted, you can barely see anything...
is it supposed to work? or am i supposed to use some device in between or something?
thanks,
I bought a VGA to RCA connector off ebay. it is a small plug that is on one side a vga connector, and an RCA video on the other. mo matter what i do, i can't get it to work. 3 different computers (2 laptops, 1 desktop) yet nothing, a distorted image on the tv. the same TV works perfectly with a...
well the whole problem started after messing with nvidia beta drivers, i removed them and installed the whql drivers, yet the problem remains.....
i was starting to think my video card was bad, but the whole system runs through games flawlessly for hours,...so i am confused, why during boot...
I get that error on occasion while booting into Vista Premium 32bits.... the system is very stable, and this is the only problem i have (just started a few days ago)......

8600gts is the logical step, get the cheapest and overclock it,..... they overclock easily
i love mine .....
the MSI one for $150 is a great card....;)
Don't get a fan-less card, i know noise is an issue for you, but Nvidia cards run fairly hot... and i don't trust fan-less designs honestly...
i have a BFG 8600gts, awesome card. very quiet with a stock fan, (the fan has temperature monitoring ) once you game it kicks in and becomes...
So i am about to overclock my 8600gts from its stock 710 core to 730, and from 2000mem to 2200. i tried it using riva tuner and ntune, and it seems stable. heat has not increased (maybe 1 degreee), i am tired though of vista warning about riva tuner loading at statrtup and shutting down ntune...
I just bought a BFG 8600GTS OC video card. it came to my attention that the fan revs up really loud during booting, yet it quiets down when it reaches the desktop...is this normal ? do these cards have some kind of smart fan function?
also, i have a zalman vf900 cooper cooler, i am thinking...

it could be none related, but these 690g chipsets are buggy still, read reviews or forums about your mobo. make sure you get the latest catalyst -south bridge driver. a lot of people are having issues when plugging in video cards into these mobos...
again, it could be unrelated and as you...
