Hello,
I need some expert advice on sound cards. I probably posted in the wrong forum before (the HTPC forum...).

Hello,

I understand that the "Stereo Mix" recording function allows for this, is it correct? I am asking because it seem my...
Another vote for Arcsoft.
One other that hasn't been mentioned is that it still supports HDDVD (although not advertised); this is a big plus for me since I have a hybrid drive and a bunch of HDDVDs...
Cyberlink already dropped HDDVD support since version 8.
If you're just building a Nas, you really don't need a full system.
I would look at multi-bay storage enclosures.

And look at network attach bridgeboards.

Or you can find cheaper SATA bridgeboards and then use an external sata-usb adaptor in...
Is there anywhere in the Bios to turn of automatic shut down when temp is too high? Or adjust the critical temp upwards?
I still think it is overheating and thus rebooting during the install.
Size wise I think it is a minute difference.
Lanbox lite has a 80mm intake fan and 2 60mm exhaust fans. Together, all the fans are close to silent.
What's important for me is that Lanbox has 1 3.5" and 2 5.25" external bays. I use those for a card reader, 1 hot swap mobile rack, and a...

I think the analyst who think digital content thru internet can compete with Blu-ray in the next 5 years really don't get out much.
There is tremendously more infrastructure penetration requirement that digital content delivery has not achieved in even the most developed nations. How many of...
Yea, it is.
When I was looking for mATX psus for my old rig, this was the only one that came up with dual 12v rails. All other high wattage mATX psu are have high current ratings on the 3V and 5V rails which is not what ppl need.
BTW, the two 12V rails are rated at 8A and 14A.
Just purchased a new ATX psu. Have no use for this one anymore.
Made by Seasonic, this psu is very quiet and has dual 12V rails. Comes with matx to ATX psu adapter. Looking for $40 shipped.

I'm running vista.
I have other boards running other chipsets working fine too. I'm asking specifically about thsi board. Just wondering if anyone has this working.
Ok, to clarify, I have AHCI enabled when installing windows (it's a new setup altogether).
However, I cannot hot plug the sata drives as expected that I can. I can't confirm whether NCQ is working either (don't know how).
So does hot swapping sata drives work for you?
Did anyone enable this feature in the bios and have your Sata drives hot swappable?
I enabled it but my drives aren't hot swappable...can't figure out why.
Someone please shed some light on this. I'm just wondering if this feature is not actually implemented in the bios.
Hello,
I just got this board and have everything running.
I was wondering if anyone has any luck with getting AHCI to work with standalone sata drives (not raid)?
I have this running with the Intel Matrix Storage manager but my sata drives are still not not swappable...I can't confirm...
Just a quick question.
This is my first time using integrated graphics.
Does the vga connector on this mobo convert to component RGB directly (without transcoding)? (Meaning it can sync on y or sync on green?)
thanks,
If you're planning to oc the heck out of it (4ghz+), then the more expensive ram maybe a good investment. The tighter timings don't really do much (+/-3%) wrt the over all performance of the system. Then again, if you're planning to go all out on the oc...it's probably better to grab the E8500...
Everyone knows that the Costco "deals" are only really fore-shadowing the regular price may be a month or two in the future... So, their "deals" never really go away.
