well it's a 3800 sq ft house. 3 stories. so i need to route cables along the wall from 3rd to 2nd floor. doing internal wall stuff would cost a lot right? over $5000. i don't want to spend that kind of money just to install cables
thanks for the help. i think i would be needing 200 ft cables. that should work fine with my network. does brand make any difference? also which kind is better for data transfer without loosing speed
i was thinking about doing some self cat5e wiring for my new home. i need approx 200-500ft cable from my router to my living room. ws wondering if the brand of the cable or the style of the cable that is good even with bending. something that won't loose data over the transfer. does brand...
the thread has gone mad since i have been here to see what's going on. i'll have to read through the post to see what is going on and see if i can pull of some kind of overclock with the argument above. good luck to me and i'll stay with PCI at 110
bug!
when you use coretemp during occt running. and ur monitering temps in occt with coretemp. there's a pop message warning taht says you have close speedfan. please correct that.
ALSO NEW OCCT now with ADVERTISEMENTS
the final thought, i thinkt he RAM is extremely picky. i haven't found a good settign for even 3.4... for some settins it seems like the ram craps out before the cpu. cpu seems to stress longer when RAM is idled. but when ram is loaded, the stress isn't very long

25min occt stable which cannot be done before. good news... still not stable at 3.5 though. but if i can pull off a good 10-12 hr OCCT stable, i would be very happy @ 3.4
temps at load right now is at approx 65C.
i did the vcore pencil...
vanderpool is off. i'm goin to try 6-6-6-15. will that hurt my clocks really bad?
seems like i can stress the cpu on 3.4. but when ram goes in. seems like a prob occur
what is your high end hardware? sorry, but since when was 6400 high end compare to x6800. if i boght x6800 i wouldn't overclock....
ok, my bottom line is, it's the same as making money. if bill gates had a shitload of money why the hell is he's still working his ass off? the problem is, we...
how about some kind of sound that would occur when occt crashes? that way you don't have to be at your computer and when you hear it, you know it's time to change some settings
usually if it passes once on 30mins then i think it should be okay to pass another 30 mins on another day. how can occt pass 30mins yeterday and not pass today. the settings are the same, nothing changed
i was also wondering this. although occt was stable and orthos was stable for at leas 1 hr i wanted to be extra sure. the weird thing is that orthos passed the test for 30mins last night. when ir an it today again, it wouldn't pass the 30min mark
too bad. 975 sucks for e6300. i can confirm since i use p5wdh for 1 day and i figure i can't go over 2.9 i swapped it to p5b deluxe. first boot i was able to boot into windows at 3.5 which p5wdh couldn't even do at 3.1
