Well my 4th Enermax Liberty 620 has been running problem free for about 8 months now (touch wood) but the whole RMA experience has put me off any future Enermax purchases.
No, i ran it faster to reproduce the error quicker :D
I did think about that but my ram is actually PC4000, and has been running @ DDR 500 for about 9 months
Thats why I bought it. But I never got so far as to take the risk...
Ok, hadn't quite expected to be faced with such a wall of morality! But feel I should clarfiy some stuff about the CPU:
I know my initial post suggests i started at 2.9ghz & worked my way down but I didn't; I initially primed at 2600@236x11 because i have DDR500. After leaving it overnight I...
Yeah, it's retail boxed, have the box, but the HSF went with my 4400+
Hehe... just too lazy to bother with that, if it all goes pear shaped will just have to stop running BOINC on it.
A. fair point
B. i sold it with my 4400
C. Why do AMD sell a processor with...
I've had it at stock voltage only, wasn't gonna push it straight away!
He said he didn't.... why would he lie :D
Anyway, been in touch with AMD, don't need a reciept but they'll check the serial number through their database. Will wait until after christmas before I try to rma it as i...
Well first noticed the Prime95 failures at stock speeds & out of curiousity ramped up the speeds.....
Noticed that one question AMD ask on enquiries is "Make of HSF" But I can always get an original HSF off ebay :D But will still need a reciept of some sort.
Thats what I thought...
Ok, got a prob with my fx60; "core 1" is constantly failing prime95. At 2.9ghz it fails immediately, at 2.75 it takes about 1 hour and at 2.6 about 4'ish. It's really irritating as so far I'm really missing my nice stable 4400+
Anyway, the processor was an ebay purchase without...
Have issues with Overclocker too; it seems to ignore my slave card. If I maunally set fan speed on either of the detected cards the Master card's fan is only affected!?
I know it's probably a daft question but both ATItool & rivatuner crash my system when I attempt any oc, but using overdrive I can get core to 660mhz no probs.... which is why I'm asking does it actually oc both cores?
Well, I am on my 4th Liberty 620w, the other 3 all blew in different ways(cost me £30 total to Rma)! This one has been going strong for just over a week, so fingers crossed its the last! This is my first Enermax PSU (well 4th ;) ) and really only bought it (for a crossfire setup)on account of...
Okay, have a couple of days off work so thinking of buying a WS lcd (ACER AL2051, NEC
LCD20WGX2 or even a Samsung something or other). Anyways, just curious if anyone has a pic out there of a 4:3 19" panel sat alongside a 20 or 21" Widescreen, purely so I can see a straight size comparison...
I would have thought underlying system problem too, except for one thing, my other PSU a Jeantech Arctic 600 runs the same system no problems 24/7. Only difference I have noticed between my currently working Enermax(touch wood) and 1 of the previous ones is that this one is undervolting the 12v...
Actually, was only upgrading from the Jeantech to the Enermax because of a mis-diagnosed MB fault! But also wanted the higher amperage on the rails for a crossfire setup. The Jeantech is a PFC model This review persuaded me to pick it. May just stick with it and stick the rma'd enermax on ebay.
But, if there is an underlying problem why hasn't my Jeantech Arctic 600 had any problems? Bought the Enermax for more stability when I go crossfire(2 PCI-E supplies vs 1 on the Arctic). So, only difference on the system is the more powerful 620w PSU??
Well, my third Liberty 620 just commit suicide on me. Luckily, I still have my old Jeantech Arctic 600, so I'm not stuck. The PSU is connected up through a surge protector. And each one failed differently; first one blew up in a big way when i first switched on its main power switch and tripped...
