I've got mine (white) on pre-order in the UK - it was estimated to be in stock today but it's slipped back to next week now.
This is very unlike me but I've recently bought a new Samsung tv with a white bezel and the rig (which is used mainly for LAN gaming) will now also do media duties...
Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 for me.
I tend to just rest it on my lap, I don't really game with it though.
In earlier times, I did have an HTPC/gaming rig on a tv and I had what I called 'the entertainment plank' for that which was a fairly wide plank of wood with a mouse mat glued to...
Sanity is overrated anyway! :D I tend to like the brightness pretty high on my tvs but not *that* bright, obviously but certainly in the higher reaches as a rule.
Anyway, when I got to the LAN last night I'd set it to Movie mode previously and it was at 100% brightness as default but time was...
oqvist & Serzhas:
I'm not using 3D with it, I'm afraid and no real plans to do so - I don't have a copy of Resident Evil 5, either, sorry chaps.
I am due at a LAN tonight and will be using the monitor so I can report back over the weekend. I'm not a 100% brightness fan, generally. I set the...
I got one yesterday (from Scan) and found this thread today! :o
I have to say though, all seems pretty good with mine, it reminds me of a (smaller, obviously) version of my HP LP3065 which it's currently sitting next to.
I've just gone into the service menu and the firmware would seem to be...
My only experience with EVGA CS has been very negative indeed. So much so, I swore I would never buy another of their products and I've stuck with that since (my experience was 2007ish IIRC.)
Maybe I was just unlucky, as most people seem to think they're very good but I certainly wouldn't give...
I'm more and more impressed whenever I've come into contact with Shuttles.. giving serious thought to looking into them when I next upgrade (which hopefully won't be for a while!)
I've read that there are some alleged legality issues with K-Lite and some of the other codec packs.. some AV gurus seem to have a great deal of disdain for it/them.. having said that, I use K-Lite on XP and Vista, indeed I'd say I've come to rely on it.
I'm no expert but based on my experience with Ultimate media centre I can say that if it's a Microsoft Media certified type remote you should be able to set it up when you run the TV signal set-up process via media centre. You should be able to synch your set-top box remote with your media...
 Really? The TJ09 is hands down the best case I've ever owned for air flow!
Looks like everyone has different techniques for setting up the fans/airflow of their case but mine's the same as Gaiden133's (except I've got a Scythe Infinity with 2 x120mms in push/pull) and for me...
Looking good - I could've sworn I posted as much the other day - apparently not! Good work. I have one of these cases and I've never got on with it for some reason.
I've got a TJ09 with the top two and main fan on intake and rear on exhaust. I've tried exhausting through one and both the top fans but the intake top/main and exhaust on rear combo seemed to work best for me. I do have a couple of PCI blowers as well.
Give each combination a try and see...
There's a thread about this (and other 8800 problems) over on the forums of the UK Hexus site - opinion seems to be divided on the cause but one of the theories currently suggested is that there are 'bad batches' of 8800s going around. Others are suggesting driver problems but at least one user...
I would say it'd be a good idea to fit them, I'm not sure about necessary but they definitely do help with the airflow in the case (which is really good.)
