I wonder if this lines up with any monitor for PLP. It really wouldn't be PLP, it would be LLL, bu the left and right monitors would already be sized correctly.
I could see an awesome PLP type setup that actually works because eyefinity/etc would support it.
If you aren't worried about gaming, the closest you'll come are Dell 2107FP.
You can do a perfect match with a certain 14" laptop panel, but it's a LOT of work to do right.
They are not 3k. They can be had for between $850 and $1000.
Personally, if you want to go cheap (but only game on the center), do what I did. Purchase a $300 120hz 27" korean and put two dell 2107fp on either side. You can't do eyefinity PLP well, but its a beast for productivity and I think...
You're honestly better off with the 34" 1440p 21:9 panels. If you want the side monitors for productivity, pick up a couple of dell 2170fp for $50 on craigslist.
I would go for the 970 and plan to pick up another for SLI in the nearish future. I agree that at stock, 1440p should be about the same on both, but SLI will be necessary for the 4k 40".
SLI with much less power consumption and quieter...
I've had a QNIX 2710 for a little over a month and have an issue. Starting today, when I try to turn my monitor on after being off for a while, it will flash the screen for a fraction of a second then turn off. I have been able to make it work by unplugging the PSU from the socket and waiting a...

After using for a while now, another con is the heat coming off the old monitors. Makes sense seeing as they have high power consumption, but it does get warm being that it is summer.
Many say the gel is a scam and doesn't actually work. Also it supposedly breaks down into a gooey mess eventually.
Standard high density memory foam beds are supposed to be the best.
Left: 20" Dell 2001FP 1600x1200 4:3 ($50 on CL)
Center: 27" QNIX 2710 2560x1440 16:9 @ 110Hz ($300 here from another forum member)
Right 20" Dell 2001FP 1600x1200 4:3 ($50 on CL)
Here is my budget PLP setup. I was not so worried about PPI and size matching up. I will game on the center 110Hz...
I actually ordered the Sleep Science 10" from Costco yesterday.

If you order online, you have free pickup if you need to return it. If you buy from the store, you must return it to the store which means...
The 2001FP/2007FPs are about 2" taller (in portrait) than a 27". The difference in physical height and PPI doesn't really bother me. I'm seperating windows/programs and not stretching them and I'm only gaming on the main 27" monitor.
The price of a 20 - 27 - 20 setup would be ~$400 assuming...
Yeah, these QNIX 2710s are amazing... in a perfect world there would be two 19" IPS 1440x??? screens to put on the sides. I may still just do 2x 2001FPs even though they don't match perfectly.
Here's someone who used 17" Dell 4:3s. This is essentially what my setup looks like right now w/the...
I have a QNIX 2710 that OCs to 110hz and it's amazing (even on the desktop). For $300 it just can't be beat, and while I could go with three of these, I just don't need all that horizontal space. I really want PLP w/this 27". I don't really mind that the pixel pitch is and height is a little off...
The most usable productivity setup IMO is 20/30/20 PLP. Total PITA for gaming unless you're just using the 30".
Also, a big lack of 4:3 20" 1600x1200 monitors out there to make it possible.
I prefer the small width of the 4:3 monitor in portrait over the gigantic 27" on the side. It's easy to glance at without taking all of your focus. Also, I don't have the space for 3x27" even if I wanted them and it would be at least $600 when I can buy old 4:3s for ~$50 each.
The mismatch...
Resurrecting an old thread.
I have a QNIX 2710 27" 110hz korean IPS monitor and just added two Dell 1908FP's on either side of it. They were sitting at work unused so I figured I would try it out.
They aren't without numerous issues, but I love how easy they are to glance out due to being...
Projector IMO
I purchased a Benq 1080st and have a 12ft image projected on the wall from ~8ft away on the coffee table. If you can make your room dark and do most of your watching at night... amazing.
I have finally experienced 120hz (actually 110hz) on a QNIX. I don't know how people say they can't tell the difference... I can even tell the difference on the desktop.
Don't see how I'll ever go back to 60hz now.
Would be nice to have some other sources. I started this thread months ago in anticipation of these displays, but they have been very hard to source. The one that I did order from NewEgg was damaged in shipping and they refunded my money rather than provide a new one due to stock.
I...
