good lord, GPU temp is 66-67C right now lol. I just got home from work, and left my PC on all day. it is also considerably cooler in my room right now (like 73F) while last night it was probably somewhere between 77-80F. I should also mention I just got my side panel fan yesterday and installed...

hah, well I'm not sure what the ambient temp refers to, but thats what it said in rivatuner 2.01. I imagine it refers to another sensor somewhere inside the case last night I measured my temps some more. my peak GPU temp was 84C while playing a game, and the lowest was about 77C idle. I think...

XP has been running fine for about 20-30 minutes now, no problems, odd. if I get any BSODs I'll uninstall the NVIDIA Forceware Network Access Manager. I recall not having any problems before I started changing those settings, maybe I'll also try putting them back to default before uninstalling...

really interesting...I've been in Vista now about 2 hours today, no BSODs, no errors what so ver I'll load into XP and see what happens, if it BSODs I'm going to uninstall some of that nvidia garbage

probably a dumb question, but did you guys install the mobo drivers that came with the eVGA?

how do I enable SATA300 on these? I read that I have to remove jumpers to do this, I'm not sure that I did that though. where would these jumpers be? I bought them OEM btw, and I have no idea if I set up SATA300 correctly

I've seen at least 2 of them, one of them definitely had "NV" in it, so it would be nvidia related. I can't remember the other. btw are BSODs hurting my PC in anyway?

I was in this same position not too long ago. from my experience, the majority of people at the boards are people having problems in the first place. its not necessarily that something is bad, its just that people having problems flock to the net to find solutions (especially with pc parts!)...
