So I go to the University of Alabama and am entering my senior year in aerospace engineering. We are thinking of ideas for a senior design project, and one that has peaked a lot of peoples interest is an autonomous flight aircraft. Our plan is to write the software to control a model RC plane...
Here is a random read test, write is disabled unless I delete the partition
This drive is so much nicer than the 7200rpm drive I had before. Much much faster and smoother, not to mention no noise which is awesome. I have my desktop (see sig) for anything really demanding. I mainly use my...
There arent any options in the BIOS for ahci, or anything relating to the hard discs for that matter. The driver being used is the microsoft one from 2006. I couldnt find a newer version...
Any other suggestions?
I just put a new corsair p128 in my laptop (dell m90) and the peak read is only around 110 and with sequential read only around 95mb/s. Shouldnt it be near twice that?
I did a fresh install of Windows 7 x64 and it works fine, but isnt as fast as I was expecting...TRIM is on if that makes a...
Its not specific to computers, but I do a lot of high-pressure air tubing and have always found the largest selection of fittings from http://www.mcmaster.com/ if you can think of a fitting they have it in several materials and sizes. Shipping is fast and effecient as well.
Horizontal shift is next to nothing. Vertical shift is a bit touchy but there is an area about 10-15" vertically right in front of it where the color barely changes. Once you set it how you like it and sit in the same chair it should be a non-issue. There is no perceptible input lag.
haha yep its Armageddon.
The dynamic range of cameras is less than that of monitors, so if you ever take a picture it will be either overexposed or underexposed, so here is 2 shots at different exposures.

I can go completely from side to side and there is no color shift. If I look up at the monitor (ie, monitor is too high) there is some. There is about a 12" vertical window when looking directly at it that there is no color shift.
Response times are excellent. If there is lag I sure cant see...
I put windows 7 on my old athlon 64 3200 with 1gb of ram box, and it actually wasnt that bad. The hard drive was definately having fun with the page file though, but it worked rather smoothly.
I ended up just reinstalling xp on that machine after I was done playing with 7.
Have it, love it. It swivels as well as pivots up and down (+15 to -5 I believe).
Im runing a pair of gtx260s in SLI with an i920 at 3.6ghz and it does fine as you might expect.
I have the acre in question and really like it. I came from a 22" NEC FP 2141sb, which is a very good CRT monitor, but I enjoy the Acer much more. Going from a 4:3 like the NEC to the 16:9 of the acer is a little akward, and frankly the only thing I dont like about the acer is I wish it was...
My girlfriend gave me this for christmas since ive never had a wireless keyboard before and needed a new mouse anyway. Trouble is in some games the keyboard input will all of the sudden become delayed 5 or 10 seconds. After about a minute of this it will return to normal for 10-15 minutes. The...
