For some reason, Kyle never banned me, Why don't I post anymore?
I still read the front page every day.
PCs got boring?
Did I grow old?
Must be it.
Or those dang Monkeys are more insidious then I thought,
I actually went looking for this a year or so ago.
Should I be worried?
No, I have no fear of the monkies,
it's the parakeets that are evil.
[God, I'm old]
Having used AMD products since the '286 days, I've become accustomed to the ebb and flow of AMD/Intel performance, but where AMD has always excelled was in the price/performance (and occasionally pure performance) department.
Does AMD consider Bulldozer's price/performance competitive, and if...
ATI AA and CPU Physx are intentionally crippled in Batman AA, it is a severely flawed tool to use as a benchmark, as it intentionally, and artificially favors NVIDIA.

Like Vinnard said, if you want to mess with a rebate, and you have a Frys by you, this GTX 275 is 148.99 this weekend. http://www.frys.com/product/5892363

Back for a little Stuart action, good thing, I went looking for the old Stuart stuff a while back and couldn't seem to find it, and was starting to think it was lost.
Ahhh butter, Metab O' Quill, aluminum foil, and Bill such sweet memories.

It's in the truck dash :)
Maybe I can do something, I think I have one laying about that I can attack, I'll see about duplicating the mod and documenting it.

As I aside, I disassembled a Bulgin vandel resistant switch, and modded it for dual color, +/- = red -/+ = green.
It's controlling the overdrive mod in my Studebaker pickup.
Required a bit of epoxy to put it back together :)
ya ya ya, I'm late the thread is dead, I know :)

The problem with those is that they respond almost any TV remote, so you can try building this...
To make a momentary switch into a latching switch, a pair of relays (one DPDT and one SPST) and transistor is all you need.
see http://www.tfs.net/%7Epetek/autoelec/simple/togrel.htm
Or you can just use four SPST relays and a pair of diodes to do the job

How about the Cool Master Ammo case?

Shipping weight is 22Lbs, but it's pretty tough.
The ultimate styling "transportable" case is probably the Mac G5 case :) but that's a bit of a mod.

Any word on what motherboards will support Dolby Digital Live?
From the leaked info I've seen, all of the Am2 boards will be using the Realtek ALC883 instead of the ALC883D or ALC883DTS (Dolbly Digital Live or DTS Live Encoding respectivly)
I'm very pleased with my Chaintech VNF4 Ultra. It's a good, inexpensive, stable board. I've had the HT clock at 300Mhz (x3 HT multi) and the system was stable, didn't see much point to test higher, as I had to reduce the multiplier on my 3000+ to 8x for the test,
The highest stable HT speed...
ROFL
They need a warning on Macs. It was easy to dismiss the Mac back when the MAC OS was all flash with no guts, but since they started building it on top of a *nix, it's become quite seductive.
Torgo, can you give me a quickie on your feeling about Deux Ex (on PC, no console versions or the sequel)
For me, this is still one of the best single player FPS game
(I still play it, more then almost anything else)
I have a dead Triplex Millennium Silver Ti4200 128.
It was assinated by a Soltek SL85ERV, Also silver.
Both items were imports and the venders were unhelpfull.
This was my first and last attempt to build a color matched system with a window.
I got faggy and paid the price
The current XviD releases seem to be broken with regards to consumer electronic playback devices, so try to download an older version of an XviD binary (if your interested in MPEG4 DVD playback).
