While cleaning my desk, I found a 80mm 24volt 0.11A fan.
Is there anyway to hook this up with a standard ATX PSU?
It pushes quite a bit of air with 12v, can't wait to see what it can do with 24v. :D
For sale:

They cost $40 plus shipping on newegg.
Just a 120mm exhaust fan in the rear, and the PSU exhaust fan.
Northbridge, CPU, and Video have fans too.
I really need to get some more fans for this thing, 50C idle with the case side on. :(
Drops to 38-41C with case side off.
I'm thinking of getting 2x 120mm 103cfm fans to replace...

I have...
I've gotten it from Meijers.
Not sure if they have them in NY.
They also have it here: http://www.first-aid-product.com/industrial/isopropyl-alcohol.htm
I've replaced the fan in one of my PSU's before when the stock fan motor burnt out.
All I had to do is solder the red and black wires where the old ones were.
I bought a iBook G3 from MicroCenter.
Awesome little laptop.
Mine came with 640mb of ram, combo drive (tray), and Airport for the $799
Either the ad is wrong, or I got something special :D
It's the newer style casing so it looks just like the iBook G4 except that it just says...
I know gettin a card to work with it IS possible, as I'm almost certain Claire's (that stupid girly store) has the same monitor plugged into a p3 rig running 98.
So either hack it up and make it a vga cable and split the 12v to somewhere else or look for an old CGA PCI card.
Your joking right ?
Doom ]|[ may come on 1 DVD, I highly doubt it's install files will take up 40gb :p
No Games are going to need 64bit for a LONG time. If ever.
Anywho,
CoD runs fine for me w/ no slow downs with F@H and Gaim running in the background. I have 512mb of DDR266.
Make sure you put the standoffs on correctly.
I've grounded out 2 motherboards not putting them in all the way. First one lost the PSU fuse and 2nd survived with no ill effects.
On cases wo/ mobo trays I put the cpu/sink in after I mount the mobo in the case, and w/ trays I mount the mobo...
I have a really old OEM Logitech keyboard from around '99. Very, very sturdy and well built.
This looks alot like it.

Inexpensive too :)
It does put out voltage. When I plug my 15" in wo/ the power cord all the leds and stuff turn on, just not the tube. A 9" monochrome tube don't need much power and prolly can be powered via the VGA.
If it doesn't work, just sell it again on ebay ;)
There are other NCR 7450 series monitors...
Ramfart: Way to expensive ($75 is minium order :o)
Zardoz: I don't have Reynolds alum. foil. Think a cheap off-brand from the local supermarket will work ? :p
Thanks for the suggestions. :)
Edit: Alum. Foil didnt work at all. Maybe I'm using it wrong ?
It should work just fine. VGA is VGA ;)
But really, it should work fine. A 9" monochrome doesn't need much power, and a VGA does put out quite a bit of power.
What kind of laptop is it ?
My old Dell did the same thing. Processor wasn't in the the socket all the way and would turn on for a sec and turn off.
5 minutes fixed that for free ;)
If it's old enough not boot from CD, I highly doubt it can boot from USB.
I think externel floppy MAY be your only choice.
Also what OS are you installing ? 98 ? Then a laptop hd to desktop hd convertor might work.
I know you prolly would have problems if you were using a NT based OS...
