Huh? This article is written by a Brit (I presume for Brits...). So is he complaining about Google not paying British taxes specifically? I really sort of hope so. Because I'm an American and I don't want our current government to have any more taxes to waist than is absolutely necessary...
Um... I couldn't care less about the smartphone. But that is a waste of .50cal Ammo!! =P
Seriously! Can you even get primers to reload that caliber? The liberals won't have to ban your rifle if you don't have ammo. It will just become an awesome "wall decoration". =(
There is One application for which a modest size table makes sense... Reading E-Books. Face it, smart phones are just too small for this and something too large to fit in one's hands (like a "book") aisn't going to be the same.
Now, if we assume, he's talking strictly about the Business...
One thing I really don't like about this case is the "flip down" cover over the front ports (USB, Headphones, etc...). Seriously I can't see it lasting very long. Either the latch tab will break or the hinges will fail. Also I thought the entire case was supposed to be aluminum. Must have been...
Yes! The "thumb hat" is in the wrong place. And the price is too high. Curiously the original design from BMW didn't have those flaws... Just goes to show how good Thermaltake is at designing this type of gear.
Agreed! Totally and Completely! And in many cases you can get a blu-ray disc for less than an HDX digital copy. But I guess some people think its more impressive to show off their digital list than their physical collection...? Than again, that's just Stupid as well, so I'll quit while I'm...
Sony really doesn't get it! Its not just about Who has the "best hardware" its about Who has the best Overall package. By which I mean games and the online service which promotes people playing together. But it also mean offering the console at a reasonable price.
Last time around Sony had...
I visited South Korea for the first time in the early 1980's. And Those statements pretty much summed that trip up for me. Very Strange, very Very COLD, and I was unprepared for what I saw... Really made me appreciate the "quality of life" I'd always enjoyed here in America.
The funny...
Some people can... Others don't have that luxury. For Example: our local University requires the instructors of Online Courses have Java Installed. NO ifs, ands, or buts! Seriously ALL Online curriculum requires Java period. Which is part of what makes this whole scenario so pathetic.
We had a UPS delivery person like that... And he swears he put that new laptop behind our "screen door"! The problem is that we don't have a screen door.
I think that Nvidia is far too independent to agree to such a deal. This is just some stupid Internet rumor... Sort of like how Intel was supposed to completely eliminate socketed CPUs.
Yeah we know... But Apple is getting outsold in the smartphone market. And the same is likely to happen in the Tablet market. So the bottom line is that Apple is making bank atm because their prices are so much higher not because they are outselling their competition. Plus the other factor to...
The only catch is that I don't even want "1 iPad"... the Asus Transformer Infinity is a far better piece of hardware IMO. And that's completely disregarding the difference in price.
Most of you are blowing this completely out of context. They may reduce the volume of socketed parts as the markets move to more SoC type designs. But we knew that was coming anyway. They just want to have a "slice of the pie" so to speak. And the more "Pies" the better.
How expensive it...
Um... It IS a Tablet. That price does not include a keyboard. And I'd give you 100:1 odds that when it comes out there still won't be that many Apps on the Store. So it seems obvious that Microsoft wants to complete with Apple in a market where they are at a disadvantage. But most people...
Steve Jobs = "the Thomas Edison of our time"?? What a load of crap! I mean name thing He, not someone else, invented. Sure he picked out some good ideas. But they were all someone else's ideas. And he isn't even in the same ballpark as Thomas Edison.
I doubt this is an indication he was an "alien"... Whatever that's supposed to mean. But it does give some support to the notion that lifestyle can affect physiology. Meaning: the fact that he spent a great deal of time thinking about things influenced how his brain developed as much as how...
That "Story" is so ridiculous! The short version is that he had all his accounts linked. He had his iPhone and Macbook "protected" by a feature that would allow him to wipe their data remotely if they were stolen. Then, because he's an Apple User and doesn't expect anything bad to happen to...
I didn't think I wanted Windows 8 at all. Then I started hearing about some of the underlying improvements to the OS. Like it will check a UEFI BIOS to make sure it hasn't been compromised before it boots up. And that fact that it loads up the drivers for Anti-Virus software before any other...
Why is Woz relevant? Well I think its because he no longer has some company's PR line to follow... So he can make statements like these without getting canned.
I upgraded one of my systems. And it now loads the desktop more quickly... but there isn't a noticeable difference otherwise. The only program that's incompatible is Paragon Hard Disk Manager. So I'm going to use it on that one system for now. But in all honesty it was a $66 waste of time...
At the risk of sounding harsh... Who Cares where IE 10 is? I know I don't. I use IE to access my modem's configuration page and nothing else. Its Chrome all the way. At least till something better surfaces and I would never expect that to be a Microsoft Product.
So!?! My choice to not participate in Facebook makes me "weird"? And that means I can't date some shallow Woman who lacks the intelligence to understand why? I can accept that gladly.
In fact I'm sure it will spare me allot of pain in the long run. And think about this for just a few...
Normally I'd have to disagree. But if you look at what's written on the board behind him... I'd say that if this guy is really that smart he should know better than to try a "simplified electron gun"! Because that's just asking for trouble.
Unless you keep that part a secret. ;)
Even though I haven't built an AMD system in years this is very good news. The last thing we all need is for AMD to "go away". So here's hoping this turn means good things for AMD. :)
I think the impression for this comes from the fact that companies like HP and Dell are selling fewer of their crappy desktops. And if I hadn't built all my own PCs since about 1997. I might be more interested in buying something like a tablet. As it stands I'll pass.
With my two...
