I jumped on the new prices. I bought a X2 6000 and and an Asus crosshair board and some Corsair dominator DDR2 800 memory. This is my first Asus board,i was going between the Gigabtye GA-M59SLI board, the Abit fatality, and a DFI Lanparty.I heard Asus has a lot of bios problems, now i'll find out...
The Gigabyte wont do 300 HTT,i have one and only went to 270 before issues arose. MSI is good ,i have an MSI SLI Platinum and it goes to 300 HTT. DFI makes a good one also.
The Gigabyte board is an execellant board, but they just dont overclock much. DOUG
I'd hope a $400 box can't match a $1000+ rig.

I would bet it wouldnt even come close.
I,m using the Nvidia raid controller with 2 raptor drives in raid 0,it is very fast and very stable. I havn't had any problems with the controller at all and it performs very well. I highly recomend it.
I just read the This on their site:
Standard Warranty
"Products sold by Newegg.com are supported by our Standard Warranty unless otherwise indicated. Merchandise under our Standard Warranty may be returned within 30 days of the original invoice date for a refund or returned for replacement...
Yes my SLI board works like that witout the bridge connected. You will have to uninstall the drivers then install the cards and reinstall the drivers for it to work. Basicly you have 2 video card slots. It also has to have a SLI or crossfore chipset to work in either one of those modes.
If i was BFG and sent out a bad card,i would have tested the next replacement to make dam sure it worked right. But then they have people working there that dont give a shit.OBVIOUSLY
The term SATA II has grown in popularity as the moniker for the SATA 3Gb/s data transfer rate, causing great confusion because, quite simply, its a misnomer.
The first step toward a better understanding of SATA is to know that SATA II is not the brand name for SATAs 3Gb/s data transfer...
I use New Egg,ZZF,and Monarch.
New Egg is fast, good prices, and RMA is no problem
Monarch is fast and reliable, good prices on most things.
ZZF has good prices but shipping is way to slow, has always taken them 2 or 3 days just to procees my order,i dont use them unless i'm not in a hurry...
Dont advertise something you cant deliver. Next day is next day,not a day or 2 later. And least in one piece,it's UPS's job to get the package to the reciepant the same condition it was shipped in.
I just recieved some parts shipped UPS that were damaged. They lost a bunch of money replacing the parts and shipping them for free than if they would have shipped them UNDAMAGED.
MSI 6600 GT,has copper heat sink. I have 2 PCI-E in SLI. 500/1000 clocks default and mine overclock pretty good. 550/1100. The AOPEN is nice also.

I have used both, and new egg ships faster, the prices are close to each other.. I have RMA'd stuff from New Egg and not had a single problem. i have bought a lot of hard drives from New Egg and never had a problem. Always got a new part when thats what i ordered.
I have 2 MSI 6600 GT's in SLI and havn't had a problem out of either one. they come with copper heatsinks and run pretty cool. They also come with a lot of games.

I have no idea whats going on with CF motherboards, but its only being used for ammo, nobody here complaining will actually buy one, i mean look at your post trends. If you care that much you can buy a 955X 2x PCI E slot board now, get your master card and slave and get it going...
There should be plenty available because people wont buy them. The price will need to drop a lot before they will sell. people waiting for the 520 got tired and bought a 7800.

If they ever want to be on top they have to get MISSFIRE out, they will never get there with a single card only...

Motherboards are usually returned for different reasons. Sometimes they just dont overclock enought to suit them so they RMA it to get a different one which isnt a bad thing because you get a working board. This is especially with performance boards more so than just plain ones. Some times a...
So far i have been right, there are no Crossfire MB's yet And the chances of a 1800 crossfire set up performing even close to 7800 whatever SLI are very remote. ATI has too many irons in the fire right now to get every project to function to the level SLI is at. They will get it working but not...
