reload the page, the pics seem to be showing up for some people but not for others

EDIT: ok, when I reload the page my pics are X's, but when I click page 13 and then click 14 again the pics show up. Anyone know why that's happening?

Very true. I have the same desk (page 3 or 4 in this thread) and I hate it. People like it and after a lot of adjusting, I eventually got it to line up and work correctly - but the little nuts on the side ALWAYS need tightening and the keyboard drawer recently broke apart. I spent two hours re-inserting the little balls into the ball-bearing sliding trays. Not fun.

My next desk will not be glass - I do *not* recommend them, after using one for almost two years now. It was cool at first but I don't really see the advantage - plus it's much harder to do wire management. Back in the day, I worked hard enough to run all the wires along the backs of the frame so you couldn't see the wires - but that's an almost impossible feat to do 100% correctly.

Tell your friend not to bother with the glass.

Y2K SE, umm dont get mad or anything but this is post your workstation not computer.............

Although not always the case, it is often a matter of you getting what you pay for. Glass is elegent and oozes professionalism (sex appeal), but it's fragile and not for everyone, or applications.

There are great glass desk but expect to pay a lot! The ones I've seen are anywhere from $500+ to a few thousands. Those you can be sure are quality.

Jealous of what, foosball or your simpsons collection? LOL

j/k... that's a nice desk, but you really need to dress it up correctly... put the subwoofer on the floor and put some cool stuff in those shelves with the lights... like pictures of family, friends, stuff worth looking at... not your media collection

Again, very nice desk.... me wants one

What are you smoking...Media > Family Duh :D...as for the subwoofer, I was told that it is a LOT better when not on carpet.

I have the same mouse, mp3 player, and headphones as you. I also like the desk, who's it by and where did you get it?

office depot...its by sauder and is REALLY nice, not just how big it is....the quality of the wood is OUTSTANDING. I dont know how the hell someone could ever ruin this desk with such OUTSTANDING wood. Aside from that, it looks nice too with a great color theme.

Battleangel, I am pretty sure that a subwoofer works better on the floor 100% of the time. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

As far as that desk, yes it is definitely awesome, but are you sure it's wood, and not fiberboard/MDF?

MDF = medium density fiberboard

Subwoofers really do belong on the floor so that the driver has something firm to rest on. Also the desk most likely is NOT made out of wood unless he paid upwards of $1000, mainly due to the complexity of that L-shaped desk with the hutch and all. Most likely just really good particleboard or MDF.

uhh i paid about 800 (actaully it was 700 without the executive chair) total i believe and this stuff is HEAVY, you need 3 people to carry these box's up a flight of stairs.

what do you expect? INCREDIBLY nice look, nice chair to go along with it for extra 100, and at the time there was a 100$ coupon for spending more than 500 or somethin..Incredibly nice quality too, and incredibly HUGE, the glass doors in particular i really like. And soooo much space.

im not dissing the desk at all.

Its just pretty damn expensive. If I had the money, I'd totally splooge for that one.

hey, isnt posting porn against the rules? put some clothes on that shuttle for goddess sake!

it would be hard to slip clothes over it, with that big fan sticking out and all...

:( it was a mod gone wrong, chose the wrong paint and screwed the lurvly alu finish, so i just stipped it back to the bare naked flesh ;)

Thought I should chime in, Battleangel's desk is Particle Board with a veneer faux finish on the outside, you should be able to tell as all sauder furniture is made out of the same stuff, but more to the point, I have two of the same desk in my office at work, one of them had a piece snap in half when I put my AS/400 on it, so I got a second to replace it.

also, that has to be the oldest TV I've seen in a long time battleangel, that's not always a bad thing though, i mean, the tv I have in my bathroom is about ten years old and the picture on it is nearly the same quality as my Plasma in the living room

I doubt you have the same exact desk, and I guarantee these boards will not snap in half unless i put 5 of the fattest people on it, it took THREE people to get this up my stairs, this including resting along the way, and not some little weak hippy teenagers. They cannot lie on there website that its not wood, thats false advertising, it is obviously really wood.

As for the TV yea i know :D It was from my grandfather, and only goes up to 30 channels.i find it quite nice for simply watching tv when by the comp, but if i really wanted to, I could get a tv tunner for my 2001FP

yeah it works nice, two small problems, the card i got is shite :( connect3d who are not know for there overclocking boards, and ive not done the voltmod YET, saying that, it doesnt run any game poorly, clocked to 355,330 not that bad but i could go better with more volts, the coolin works like a charm, hardly warm to the touch, however the memory on the other hand gets pretty damn hot as it is.

How do you like that mATX case? I thought it was ghey at first, but it looks really good there

i just got it last week and have been liking it so far. the case only came with a 200 watt supply and i thought i could fit a 350 watt in there, but i can't :/. at any rate the machine seems to be running fine nontheless (barton 2500, radeon 8500 128 meg, 512 ddr, 80 gig 7200 rpm hd, cdrom, floppy). things get a little hot in the case, but i'm going to do some better wiremanagement to fix that.

as far as my center channel i finally broke down and put it on top of monitor....i do enjoy the sound better. thanks for the suggestion.
