why was the thread closed? There was a thread just like this also closed within a day.....

Can anyone tell me why these thread are being closed for which reason? If there is no reason, please re-open them. If there is a reason, then why not state the reason when closing the thread?
 
I was curious about that too. Was waiting for more replies when boom - thread lock.

Looks like if you have a new Google Checkout account you can use it to get an extra $10 off. $29.99 with the Google Checkout sounds like a good deal to me. Wonder if you can stack a 5% coupon on top of it? :)
 
This headset is an excellent deal at this price. There is also a review in the audio forum if you want more feedback.

I would also like to know why 2 previous threads on this topic have been locked. The deal has not died in this time nor has any of those threads gone off topic. what gives mods?

No, you can't use buy.com coupons with Google Checkout.

I bought the headset. I have been using it for a week or two. It is nice and has good sound quality though I find it lacking in the bass department. It has more bass than any headset ive ever used but its still far from impressive to me. Also a bit painful with glasses after a few hours. Not bad for the money.

With the volume turned as high as it can go
At 20hz you hear nothing
25hz you hear a faint dull drone
30hz you hear a quiet rumble
40hz and up you start to hear bass but it is never very strong.
On the high frequency end, it goes up so high you can mosltly only hear the pain.

Would be great to get an official answer to this. I've seen numerous current deals locked down for no apparent reason. :confused:

I PMed Kyle this morning after the thread was closed, and... well... to put it kindly he basically said it was closed because the discussion wasn't on topic.

His reply was enough to make me question the matter no further, lol. :)
 
I noticed a lot of the threads have been locked, so I guess they want the conversation to take place in this forum.
