It means nothing. USD prices are still lower.

RAM prices were like this 2 months ago, well before 1 CAD = 1.07USD.
 
Comparing two months ago to now in a fluctuating market is useless.
 
Wasn't this same exact memory like $250 - $250 - $300+ Dollars maybe 10 months ago or 12 months ago?

I know I bought this same memory not once, but twice in the past several months for around $100 - $120 dollars for 2 gigs and was glad to do it.

Lol, my thoughts exactly. I don't even have a system to put these in. On the fence about whether to sell my gaming notebook and build a desktop or just resell/hoard these.
 
Crucial are probably better, as I don't think the G Skill are Microns, but hell for the price both are great :p

In my case, that's a lie. I still have the popping issue (abit p35-e 4GB vista x65)
 
the crucials are by far (BY FAR) a better deal. Those G Skills will barely overclock beyond 900mhz and the ballistix should reach 1100-1200mhz.

It's like getting PC2-9600 for $60 shipped!!!!
 
would these coexisit peacefully with my OCZ Plat XTC DDR2 800 sticks? I got burned by the OCZ rebate last time, would rather buy these.

I don't see why not, as long as they all run at the same speed and timings you shouldn't have a problem afaik.

2 sets (4 sticks) on the way - these deals are driving my new build WAY faster than I had intented but if I'm going to be getting stuff for 50% of what I thought I was going to have to save... well,... why the hell not.

So far [H] has netted me a case, PS and RAM - was kinda gonna wait for Penryn for the mobo and CPU unless someone can make a compelling case for going right now - apparently I'm easily influenced. :D

Wow kinda surprised - my order went in at 2:00 today and I just got the email that it shipped - sorry you just got on the backorder end of things - but if ya gotta wait for a new card...

Heck I might not need these till Jan/Feb but its nice to have good RAM already in my "got" pile - and for way less than I thought I'd be spending.

I just ordered 2 sets for my ASUS M2N-SLI build for 116 shipped 3-5 days
 
Buy.com is a horrible company in my opinon.

I ordered these Oct 31 and they shipped Nov 1. They arrived today!

13 days and to make it worse they arrived in a padded envelope.

The first set I ordered from Newegg a couple months ago came inside the normal Crucial box which was inside another box of peanuts.
These were just inside the standard plastic memory clam shells and then plopped inside the envelope with the packing slip.
