I see my login screen says localhost@localdomain & was wondering why that is and can I change that to read something else like a [email protected]?

echo <domain name> > /etc/dnsdomainname
Errr... in hosts you can simply add to your already existing localhost string:Diffie said:It's /etc/hosts file
Code:192.168.0.1 name
Just substitute the IP and name for your own values.
127.0.0.1 <your name> localhost localhost.localdomain
