Paypal $15.00 Cash Rebate!! LOOK!!

Thanks for this - Power Supply died this evening, so on the Egg got a ThermalTake 430 for $36, with a $10 rebate plus the PayPal deal, I'm good at $11 + shipping.

I just bought something that costs $130..

I paid through using eBay's flow system since it required immediate paypal payment..

Yes it was US eBay..

However, in my account, it has no indication of this rebate I'm suppose to get..

Is this normal? Do they just send you the rebate thru mail without any notice in your account?

With the last promotion I received ZERO communication from paypal. No acceptance into the promo email, no confimation of puchase, not a single email or notice, the $ just appeared in my account one day, but then again, thats all that matters.

PayPal - The best customer service in the industry.

I find that funny. :)

+1 hard to keep up with all the MIR and Promos if they don't send an e-mail notifying you of the status of it...

2 purchases already, I'll keep an eye on them 30 bucks come May 28th... its in my Outlook task already :D

Thanks to the OP for the info.
They never sent out any emails regarding this promo, so I am glad someone let us know here.

I already took advantage of the promo

Along with rebates, I am now basically getting my item for next to nothing. :D

Does that mean that if my seller has personal Paypal account I don't get the rebate?!

Im not sure. I guess calling paypal will be the right thing to do because they excluded so many things which may cause the coupon to be useless. I hate it when companys do that.

Buy something that's cheap with a rebate and free shipping and you may get it for free or get paid for buying it.

Item A $30-20 rebate-$15 paypal rebate= get paid $5 for buying something :p

Buy.com has tons of rebate deals on $20-$30 items, and they accept paypal: http://www.buy.com/corp/support/billing/paypal.asp

Don't mean to sound like a shill, just wanted to point that out ;)

Also buy.com has the google checkout $10 off, only a fiver diffence and you get to keep your paypal rebate for some fantastic ebay "buy it now" you can't live without.
Obviously, you CAN NOT combine the google checkout and the paypal rebate.

Note : It would be nice if we could get some clarification on the "personal account" issue for Ebay purchases.

I'm pretty sure they mean go through as much of the ebay payment system as you can and not just get the guys paypal email and send it directly like that. (Or else one would be able to merely send money back and foruth between paypal account he just made)

When trying to use this on eBay, can the seller be located anywhere in the world or just in the US/Canada?

It looks like when using the deal for an online store it has to be in US/Canada but doesnt specify where the eBay seller needs to be.

Agreed, I assume this is what they are intending, but from the language used in the terms and conditions, it is stated that eBay payments made to Personal Accounts are EXCLUDED. :

How is a buyer to know if the seller has a personal or business Paypal account?

It appears, as long as the purchase is made on www.eBay.com or www.eBay.ca and the seller DOES NOT have a "Personal Account", then the rebate should apply. Due to previous experiences with Paypal, I would advise purchasing though a listed vendor to guarantee your entitlement to the rebate.

I'm looking to buy something on eBay for the promo, is there an easy way to tell if the seller is not using a PayPal Personal account?

Buy.com's $10 google discount is for new google checkout customer's only, which of course can only be used once :(

This PayPal rebate gives us another shot at a discount.

Anyone know if this works with clubit? My newegg email and paypal email are different so I made a new clubit one (first time ordering there) with matching emails.

If not, I'll probably end up ordering from newegg/zzf for my dvd burner...

Doesn't work for me:

"We're sorry. The e-mail address you provided does not qualify for this special cash-rebate offer.
If you did not receive an email invitation for this offer directly from PayPal, you are not eligible to participate."

From the Terms and Conditions:

1. Registration. You must first register for this offer on http://paypal.promotionexpert.com/greatshopping/signup/index.html using your PayPal account's primary email address. You are only eligible for this offer if you receive this offer in an email sent to you directly from PayPal.

So I guess it's only a hot deal for some people.

i'm getting the same thing :\

I have been thinking about snagging a gaming keyboard and used this as an excuse to get a Merc. $32 + $6 shipping - $15 Paypal rebate thing = $23. :D Now to try it out on some gaming!! Thanks OP!

It's supposed to work with any site that uses PayPal to check out. Click the Terms and Conditions link on the page from OP.

It's NOT an instant rebate. It says you'll get your money by May 28, 2007.
