What are the best candidates worthy of photo editing AND low-lag gaming? I'm not a pro at either, just an enthusiast.

Dell 3007WFP-HC (what's the img delay? really 11ms??! or is it as bad as 3008wfp?)
any others?

3007wfp-hc has no scaler, which greatly reduces any input lag. I game all the time on mine and have no issues whatsoever.

I heard the 3008wfp has gotten a lot better, but I don't remember specifics.

The 3008WFP has more features such as a scalar and comprehensive OSD as well as other connectors, but also increased input lag.

Here's the Dell link from Dell Canada:

Here's the DigitalVersus page with the input lag listed under "Delay compared with a CRT" in the drop down menu:

You might get better results with the NEC LCD2490WUXI or HP LP2475w, though all the monitors in this thread (other than the NEC LCD2490WUXI) are wide gamut and would require a proper color profile to not get over-saturated colors in color managed applications like Photoshop.

For gaming the 3007WFP-HC is better because of (far) lower input lag. Motion blur is no more a problem with it than any other more recent 30" display, it's just the stats for response time have "evolved" to be more attractive with the newer 30" monitors, as well as other sizes.

Another option is the HP LP3065 though it is also wide gamut as well (so requies a calibration ICM profile too). It is low input lag and has 3xDVI inputs.

yeah, i've been on a cod4 binge lately and the lag on my 3008wfp is killing me. i love the 2560 res, but the anti-glare coating is annoying. this gaming lag is just the kicker at this point. so, the natural switch seems to be the 3007wfp-hc. the ips glow on the 3008 doesn't bug me that bad & I just need 1 input really. although the sharper qualities of the 24/26" options do sound very nice. tough call.. still on the fence

thanks for the feedback guys

that site is actually why i'm interested in the 3007wfp-hc .. shows img delay is 11.5ms!! that's sick for 30" IPS.

and quality-wise, the 3007-hc and 3008 are so close... in fact i hear the antiglare grain is worse on the 3008. i think my mind is made up.. just need to come to grips with the fact that last years model is better than the new one lol
