PNY XLR8 GeForce 9800 GTX Video Card - 512MB $149.00 AR

Seems like a great deal at $149, right? How does a 4850 compare to a 9800gtx at 16x and 19x resolutions?

The HD 4850 is faster in real-life gameplay results http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTUyNCwzLCxoZW50aHVzaWFzdA==

I really like my HD 4850, but i'm looking to upgrade my 8800GT to a 9800GTX or 9800GTX+. For $149AR (or less with FC), i'm pretty interested in this card.

edit: I just ordered it. The rebate ends today. Thanks, Coder. FatCash pays 4% back, so that should almost cover shipping. No sales tax either. w00t!

That's a smokin deal on a 9800 GTX. I noticed the 9800 GT's have begun to fall to the $150 range on NewEgg, but none of the 9800 GTX's.

Nice price but just keep the warranty in mind when purchasing. PNY offers lifetime warranty for as long as the model is still being produced. Since this product is now EOL, being replaced with the 9800GTX, your warranty may only last the 30 days you get from Tigerdirect.

That changed years ago. Current PNY cards (and cards from the last couple of years) have a specific warranty term now, extended on registration. This XLR8 card has a 3 year from date of purchase warranty, with an extra 2 years on registration. http://www2.pny.com/support/media//...d3168948c5fc/PNY Graphic Card Warranty_v1.pdf

Other current PNY cards (Verto) have a 1 year warranty with an extra 2 years on registration.

The older "lifetime warranty" cards do have a disclaimer in the terms that exclude "outdated" cards once they are off the market. The current cards (7/2006 and later) do not have a disclaimer in the terms. I'm going to be registering mine. In 4 years, who knows what they'll be replacing it with. ;)

I purchased a PNY 9800gtx for $150 AR about a month and a half ago, and it was a 1 year warranty which turned into a 3 year after registration. Nice if they bumped it up to more like others are saying I guess.

Personally, I would get a 4850 instead if you're not upgrading to SLI.

I got the card and it won't fit in my Antec Solo. Antec FAIL! :(

Now to see if it will fit in a CM Centurion 5 (edit: yep) or Antec NSK 4480 (edit: nope). Antec is really working towards a lifetime fail award.
