Maverick1337- Memory clock is default, haven't done any manual o/c'ing yet. Just testing the card with out of the box settings.
Thanks, I figured that was happening, I just wanted to make sure the card was stable with stock settings. I'll tinker with the fan speeds a bit later.
Decided to test my card a bit further and Heaven ran just fine for ~7 hours. Boost clock during this run was 1241 and my temp capped at 74. (Fan was on auto and running @45%)
It's a shame that some people are having issues with this model. I'm coming from a GTX580 (MSI Lightning)- and this...
To shed some positive light here, I installed my Asus GTX 670 TOP on Friday and it's been running just fine. Now, I only ran Heaven for like 20min, but I've played D3 for hours and haven't had a single hiccup.
On a side note, the boost is supposed to go to 1137? MSI Afterburner shows it going...
I'm currently playing on expert. I feel it's a good balance.
I've tried adept just to mess around, and the tension of the battles is lost. Things die too easily. (I'm level ~15 or so.)
The way I see it, if something is killing me too easily, then I am not ready to fight it yet.
Actually, I believe with enhanced stereo on, you don't even get the rear channels. I noticed that something didn't sound right after playing the first 2 levels.
I'd love to know what the differences are between Hi-Fi, War Tapes, Home Cinema, etc.
Should be receiving the Asus ROG GTX 580 today, can't wait to overclock that sucker and see where I can get. Will post a couple of pics once it's in. Upgrading from a GTX 275, it was about that time.
Side note: I'm finally able to access my account again after several years. (Thanks to Kyle!)
Thanks for the info.
Hmm, I already have my ext HD setup with different partitions and whatnot,. I don't really want to do it all again, if for whatever reason the router doesnt support NTFS/FAT32. The D-link in question does support NAS, there's a diagram depicting that over @ their site.
I decided to try out the new D-Link DIR-655 and it has a USB port. Stupid question time, would I be able to connect my external USB HD to this port and allow it to be accessed by my computers on the network? If yes, does it matter which external HD it is? (I picked up a WD MyBook 250gb - plain...
If you have an ATI card, I'd stay away from the Apple Cinema Display. I tried one a couple of weeks ago and it wouldn't display an image during the POST. It would only kick in once Windows initializes it. After searching around, it seems that it is in fact a problem with the Apple LCD and ATI...
