    LG panels and quality control

I've seen a lot on complaints about quality problems with LG panels, both IPS and TN. Are there any stats on what percentage have problems? Does anyone know what the actual cause of tinting is? How far off are they? Are they bad from day one or do they wait until the return period is over?

    Samsung F2380 vs F2380mx

    > Hopefully Asus' professional 24" IPS will have tinting compensation > like the NEC one. Does anyone know what the actual cause of tinting is? How does this tinting compensation work? I've read that the tinting can vary across the panel. Has tinting been observed on non-LG panels...

Quality control? Dell U2311h vs Benq Ew2420/ Asus ML249H

I'm beginning to wonder if there are any LG panels which don't have a quality control problem, maybe I should avoid all of them? LG's IPS panels have tinting and blacklight bleed problem. LG's TN panels have vertical lines. Does LG make any VA panels? How is the quality control on...

Are TV Manufacturers using TN now?

Are TV Manufacturers using TN now?

    > Input lag IS a problem on TVs. They do a lot of image processing > between source and display. For watching TV, input lag shouldn't be a problem unless it is really long. E.g. 10 minutes lag would be a real pain. :-) This assumes they delay the audio to match. Given how many other...

    Apple 27" LED Cinema Display

2560x1440 is the same 16:9 ratio as 1920x1080 so if you scale the image up it will fill the screen exactly the same as any 1080 (or 720) TV set. If the image isn't 16:9 there will be the same size black bars as a 1080 or 720 TV would have. You might notice scaling artifacts if the picture...
