card was never shipped I picked it up local everything is good with the seller, I am just not sure why all of the sudden the card stopped working, and if maybe there is some quirk that I am missing.
So I picked up a powercolor 7970 off the forum and I can't seem to get it to work. I have tried putting it in 2 different computers (a gene iv z68 and a gigabyte p67 UD4) and on both it is undetected in bios (says the slot is empty) and if I attempt to use the card nothing displays.
the card...
I don't really have a set budget I was going to get a 3011, but i figured I would ask on here if there are any others out there that are as good or better.
I am a bit dated on my monitor knowledge right now and was wondering what is the setup to have right now. I am comming from a dell 3007 with 2 2007s on the sides. My 3007 is starting to show its age so I am looking to buy something new.
My main use for the setup for gaming but also a bit of...
hmm the black widow was one of the most solid keyboard I have used, did not care for the macro keys and the shape of the keys on it though.
BTW here is a major tip. Stay away from back light keyboards it only takes about 2-3 weeks to learn to type without them and once thats done, you will...
This card should be priced at $95 I don't really think anything more should be said about it. Its preformance is equal to a 6850 which I can buy for $110.
Desktops prices for the most part have dropped.
CPU prices have pretty much been static over the last 7 years with the top of the line being around the 1k mark and the bottom of the line being at the $300 mark. The only thing that might add a bit of confusion to this is that there are a good...
if you are running a single monitor the 4870x2 is the way to go. 150 is way too much to spend on a 6850 and its not really that much faster than a 4870, I think an x2 would be a 6970 in some benchies (will have to check this though)
I think the bigger reason is there is not really a need to upgrade. It use to be people upgraded so they could play current games. Right now you are upgrading so you can move a setting from 2x to 4x. So spending 500 bucks on something that will make such a small difference seems like alot.
If you look at the benchmarks for the 7970 vs the gtx 580 (at stock) then is a pretty decent increase. Also looking at both cards overclocked the 7970 pulls far ahead of the gtx 580.
But like I said it's not a card I would be in a rush to buy and I have a strong feeling a refresh will be out...
From what I can tell this is a solid upgrade over the gtx 580 and I have been finding as of late I prefer the whistles and bells that AMD has been offering over nvidia.
I don't think this card is worth getting though, the O/C headroom is a bit too much and with it being a new chip design I...
Hey I just picked up one of these and after about an hour working on it I have got everything looking pretty good however I am having a hard time finding a good heatsink that will fit in this case. Does anyone have a recomendation for one, as well has anyone found a way to make coolers like the...
xfx is really not that bad, the only problem I have with them is there techs are a bit on the lessor side. The seem to do things about the same as all the other companies. The only guys that I have ever really had a hard time with was sapphire and thats more because I felt they were belittling...
Everyone loves amd 939 because it was the best cpu at the best time for desktop gamers. Everything was flashy, I went from having my vanilla p4 mobo, to my dfi lanparty board in a case with a window and blue led's everywhere.
I don't have any stats but I would guess that right now the laptop...

Hey I am trying to piece together a few leftovers i have and I need some S775 cpu's (a q6600 would be perfect but pretty much anything will do) and a few sets of ddr2 800+ ram (im looking for 4gb kits)
I live in canada but shipping should not be too much for these items.
Heat under = table21
Well the fist one was a guy in Canada, but it still cost me like 5 bucks. The second guy is from the US so i get hit with conversion fees on both sides and it came out to like $30 bucks.
$30 bucks is a lot of money to throw away for nothing and thats why I made this tread.
I am looking to see what people on this forum think about a seller changing their mind after payment has been received. This has happened to me twice this month and it is really starting to get to me. A seller has agreed to sell me an item, I have paid for the item, and then a week later they...
