BTW, where did you get the driver you're using? The latest in the sapphire website is 10.11. I also noticed on their website all the drivers were labeled with AGP hotfix so I guess you'll need it after all.
Yea it sounds like your driver install had a problem and didn't complete. You can use driver cleaner to remove it. You can download the latest driver for your chipset from Intel's website. It's an executable you just run it and if there's any chipset driver that needs updating it'll take care of...
Did you uninstall the previous driver before you swapped cards and installed the newer driver? Did you get any error messages when installing the new drivers? If they installed correctly you should have an entry in add/remove programs. Using driver cleaner may be your only option to uninstall...
I've been researching an i7 950 upgrade and from what I've seen, if you get RAM that supports Intel Extreme Memory Profiles, you can go in the BIOS and set the profile so your RAM runs at rated specs. That RAM in your OP supports XMP. However if your gonna OC, then YMMV.
Yea this puts another kink in plans. I know SB is around the corner. One of my issues is that I need to RMA my S775 Gigabyte mainboard, and I don't want to wait 2-3weeks for a replacement. I'm a little impatient that way.:D
I'd love some advice from you fellow [H]'ers. I'm lookin to upgrade my system. I'm kinda torn between an Intel I875k unlocked multiplier and an i950 platform. I know it's easier to overclock an unlocked processor, but I get the sense that there's more flexibility in a 1366 platform. I guess on...
Took the wife and kids to see Megamind yesterday. The movie was great but there's not enough eyebleach on the planet to wash away the Justin Beiber movie trailer I had to sit through.
Don't think I heard about Galaxy until [H] reviewed their card. They seem to be doing well so far. The tilt out fan is a good idea. Keep up the good work.
Don't worry, now that I bought the 650watt version the 750 watt one will probably be on sale the day after tomorrow. :D
And they definitely had some good deals on some other PSU's. This site always seems to have good discounts.
Found a promo code for the Seasonic X650 on this website: http://www.logicbuy.com/deals/seasonic-x650-power-supply/23522.aspx. Code's for Newegg, PSU is on sale for 139.99, promo code gives an extra $20 off. The code expires on 10/12. I used it and it worked for me. Considering how well the...
It says the most widely used resolution is 1280x1024. I wonder how many of those people have widescreen monitors and have no idea how to change their system resolution to the LCD native rez.
Ask them for an advanced replacement RMA board. That way they can't send you back the same one you sent in. Any time I have to RMA something that's what I do and your down time will be shorter too.
I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations on expanding the range of a WRT400N router. I was looking at Linksys' website and was considering the WAP610N access point to use as a repeater, but I couldn't find anywhere in the documentation that says it can be used that way. Do any of...
I noticed the same thing you guys did about performance vs. graphical detail when I played the demo. I thought the graphics looked like something that would have come out three or four years ago. I'd rather play Doom 3. It'll make you jump and the graphics and performance are better to boot.
I have no idea what you just said, but I'm sure it has something to do with numbers and the symbols and letters used to combine them in some meaningful way. :)
