I give up on my current computer problem and i'm due for an upgrade.
My budget is no more than $1200.
Here's what I have now:
Asus p4p800dlx
P4 2.8G
1.5G ddr400
80gb ata
Here's what I plan on buying
Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe
athlon 64 x2 4800+ 939socket
WD caviar 250gb sata 3gbs
i'm gonna use the same ram from my old system as it's new
I'm buying a 7600gt pcix for temporary use and i'm giving it to my dad once he decides to put his new computer together. After that I plan on buying a pair of 7 or 8 series nvidias for sli. Is this gonna be more than the new mobo/cpu combo can handle?
I also hear the 939 sockets are dieing out and the am2 is the new wave... I don't want to buy dieing technology, but there are no am2 mobos that use ddr400.
