Does the 460 use more energy than a G80 8800GTS 640MB? Right now I have a Corsair 520w and don't really feel like upgrading. On it I have running 2x hdds, 2x 1gb ram, c2d e6600 @ 3.3, 2x bd drives, the 8800gts, and an audigy 2. will I be ok going from a 8800 to a 460?
I saw it earlier, I'm not doing it. No need. Would be like taking your car in for a new windshield because your registration sticker won't come off the old one.

I really hope that you mean 77F ambiantI have the same Corsair 520 mated with a Q6600, 3 gig of ram, one HD, one DVD drive, 3 120 mm case fans, and a MSI Cyclone 1 gig...works great! MSI Cyclone runs 32 ^C at idle, 34-45 C light chores and have yet to see the video card hit 60 C under heavy loads (ambient around 77 C). I am running MSI Afterburner at 791/1582/1800 on auto fan.
some asked a couple pages back but no definite answer was given. does overclocking this card void the warranty? i cant seem to find the info on gigabytes website. that would be a total downer if it were the case as this card looks like its a prime OC candidate.

Correcto...77 F, not C. I'll edit...thanks.
How would they be able to tell that you had overclocked your card anyways?
Hi Allhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125333
I just bought this one and should arrive tomorrow, if not, then Wed.
Is this the OC version?
just download the latest drivers from http://www.nvidia.com/page/home.html That's always worked great for meIs the Nvidia 258.96 drivers best for this card?
That's not true from what I've seen. The reference cooler design ejects air from the case too. Just see the pictures here:

Now, I bought the Sparkle 1GB card in-stock at Newegg right now because of:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814187113
1. reference cooler, which is known to be quiet and eject air out the back of the case
2. lifetime warranty.
I've never bought Sparkle, but I'm willing to give them a shot
