Tried that, still no go. Wish I had another computer to try it in. Probably not worth downgrading the bios in the motherboard to try it again that way.
I have an interesting problem. I've been using an MSI 6950 2GB that was flashed with a 6970 bios since I first got it almost a year ago. I recently upgraded my motherboard and CPU. The video card worked fine initially but after updating my motherboard bios to the latest version I get no video...
What I like about Corsair is pretty simple. Everything I have bought from them over the years has been high quality and is still working. Most dependable components in my builds.
The lack of openness is my only concern. Is the whole game going to be like the starting areas? I'm just not getting that sense of exploration like in WOW, EQ, or DAOC (the only MMO's I've played). In fact, it feels very similar to KOTR, almost on rails.
It might not be an option for you but this was my solution.
I put the HTPC on a shelf in the basement below the TV then just ran HDMI and a USB cables through the floor. Attached my IR receiver and external drive and that was it.
I have two Vista Ultimate SP1 32bit machines networked with a gigabyte switch, cat6, etc. File transfers from PC1 to PC2 go at 50-60MB's/sec. If I try and do the opposite, PC2 to PC1, I will only get transfers at 14-15MB's/sec. This makes no sense.
