I wouldn't even consider the 1680x1050. If the monitor will only be used solely for the 360 then definitely go for the 1920x1080. But if you plan on using it as a computer monitor also, I would get 1920x1200. Fortunately, there have been a ton of deals on 23" 1080p monitors for under $200. And...
Got a response from Planar.
I'm sure a lot of retailers are still selling old inventory though so try to check first. Now I don't know whether to get the LP2475w or this.
I'm waiting for a response back from Planar on the two DVI ports. Sounds like new models will have it. Great cause the only thing keeping me from buying this monitor was the lack of inputs. This is still one of the fastest IPS monitors out right?
I've pretty much made up my mind that I want this monitor. My only concern... brightness. How are you guys dealing with that? Does tweaking do any good?
I generally like a dimmer monitor because I'm looking at it for such a long period of time.
Anyone use this monitor as a display for Xbox 360? I want to get one just for my 360 but I've read that it won't do 1:1 pixel mapping. Is there another name for pixel mapping or is it gonna stretch to 16:10? If it does stretch, is it noticable?
I have the V2400W and its a really great monitor as far as the panel. Picture is excellent and no problems whatsoever. I was never crazy about the design, and I'm starting to notice that its leaning due to the off-centered stand placement (had it for about a year). If you can get the G2400WD...
Kingston performance memory is far from cheap so I don't know what you're talking about. I could see Kingston's version costing as much, if not more than Corsair's.
I'd love to get a 6gb kit of these, along with the Foxconn Bloodrage. Combine it with the Corsair HX620W and an ATI card...
I'm really looking for a case with a black interior. So far I only know of the Lian Li PC-X500B, the Antec P182SE, and the Silverstone SST-FT01B-W.
Has anyone seen any others that are completely or almost completely black interior?
Any idea on when these will be released?
I'm really hoping that the P183 won't be as ugly as pictured and will come with black interior. If Antec made the P182 in all black (exterior/interior) and with a window panel.. I'd be in love.
I'm on one right now and I like it alot. If you're stuck between the G2400WD and the V2400W, keep in consideration that the V2400W lacks a VESA mount. The stand is built on. That is really the only drawback. After that its mainly preference over which casing you like. I opted for the V2400W...
I also haven't experienced any flickering black bars when this thing is in 1:1 mode with 1080p. That was a major drawback for me when I heard about it, but it doesn't seem to effect the G2400WD/V2400W.
I keep seeing pixel pitch of 0.282 mm. Pixel size is smaller and there is more pixels per sq inch. I think pixel pitch is just different between TNs and other monitors, so it probably doesn't matter anyway.. as long as theres smaller sized pixels and more per sq inch.
