Just seen this on a clients computer today. The best way I found to remove it was to delete it from the default/extensions folder in their profile. This stopped it from running at least.

I thought down the same lines when buying this setup. The clincher is that I change my systems very regularly, but not my monitor. Having an all in one would limit my choices in the future. I'm still not sold on the netbook, I'm awaiting the UK iPad launch to have a play and see what I make...

It's happened to a few others http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=604286 I believe it's down to a shortage of the standard drives.

I've had the 1st gen mbp the 3rd gen mbp and the current macbook so I can give you a good idea of the heat from each. The 1st gen got quite hot, especially around the f keys, the 3rd gen was much cooler and the new macbook are even cooler. Which is somewhat annoying when its freezing cold...

This is totally incorrect, the mbp is designed to work with the lid closed. There was a problem doing this with some of the ibooks but that was ages ago. The mbp runs fine for hours and weeks with the lcd closed. Just ask anyone who runs the mbp with an external monitor. The mbp vents...

If you put the monitor icon in the menu bar in system preferences , then just click on it and press detect displays.

I've both the mx rev and vx nano and use the setpoint drivers with no issues. Never had it crash on me once. Same on the other mac mini in the house with a mx rev too.

What a ripoff. I made my own a couple of years back and it probably came in at around £100 or $200 ish. Looks great and is very comfy.

What I do is use an ftp program to get to the files locally. Not a great solution but it works.

Not sure on the oc'ing side. I would imagine if it was a ram issue mem test would show errors though.

This may seem odd but I had a similiar problem with a clients computer. Turns out that if I had the usb keyboard plugged in it would show this error without it and it would boot fine. Try unplugging everything except the power and monitor and see if that solves the issue.

I agree, I've purchased 3 xps laptops for clients and they are superb machines. I could never recommend a client buys an alienware. If dell just rebrand them thats fine, but keep the alienware tacky away please.

The macbook has user installable hard drives its near the battery compartment so either they told you something wrong or you don't have a macbook. The macbook will take any standard size 2.5in sata hard drive size is no issue.
