DX10 might be enabled, but rivatuner still shows d3d9.
Was wondering or rivatuner CAN display d3d10 or is just programmed to show d3d9 when directx is used.
Anyone can tell more about this ?
Also nice to set LensFlares=True, use your...
GTX 285 for physx only ?
Looks great but i would go with a 9600/9800gt, wich is more than enough for physx.
I'm still not sure what to choose for the 4th pci-e slot, a physx card or a raid card ?
Hope to see some tests with tri-sli and with and without physx card soon !
Roomraider,
are you using tri-sli and your X-Fi Titanim in the upper pci-ex1 slot ?
Is there no SCP (crackling/popping) when playing games ?
I'm asking this because i have lots of SCP on my current system (790i, tri-sli280, X-Fi titanium) with all 3 PCI-E 16x slots filled with VGA and upper...
I absolutly agree that i7 is the way to go if you want the most out of your GFX.
But the question in this topic is : Is it worth to upgrade ?
In topicstarters and mine case, it simple ain't worth it.
And to find an i7 that does 4.5ghz 24/7 under water won't be easy, that's another thing to...
I'm talking about 2560x1600 resolution here.
As i mentioned above on that resolution, the best you get is 5-8 fps more, not worth the upgrade.
Maybe when better gpu's showing up we see some more difference, i think that's around same time as Sandy Bridge ;)
No need to upgrade if you play on high res (2560x1600)
In some cases QX9770 kicks i7 965 ass http://techgage.com/article/intel_core_i7_performance_preview/11
I realy wanted to upgrade, but the only thing i use my desktop for are games, going to i7 would be a downgrade games wise.
And the...
If you say : "If you have inifinite money, sure. Unfortunantly, the rest of us who live in the real world have a finite budget." I see that as crying.
Putting people in boxes, Box 1 people in the real world, Box 2 people on the moon.
Maybe you didn't ment it that way, just the way i...
I'd rather go with tri-sli / quad crossfire instead of 1 gpu, but that's my opinion off course :D
Still no gaming benchmarks, can't wait for results :)
Get yourself a 30" 2560x1600 lcd and enjoy the power of three :)
With such setup, why not spend some more bucks for the thing you are looking at all the time you're behind your pc.
For me a good monitor is no1 priority, you can have lots of power, but without the right screen and resolution...
