Did you add in the cost of the television for the console?
Personal Example, when I bought my xbox 360, it was 400 dollars, and the TV was 3800.
Over the life of the console I bought maybe 12 games. So that's another 700 dollars.
I can promise you that in that same time span, I did not spend...
Unless I missed something...
Steam Sales, more than offsets the increased upfront costs of a gaming pc.
However, if you happen to already have a desktop, the only real cost is a video card, and if I'd think that an pentium/i3 + 200ish (290(x)) dollar video card will match or exceed the...
Assuming that this was in fact initially an error in communication, my problem with NVIDIA, and I'm guessing what will be argued in court is the following, after the review dropped on launch day, it is extremely unlikely that someone this error was not observed by an employee and then...
If ecc is required, it would be the first SP board, that I have encountered that requires ECC, and since the memory controller is on the cpu...
Unless you're using pfsense in a commercial (huge) setting, you're beyond over kill with that board/cpu combo.
If I understood correctly a big part of the research was so that they could display the process of evaporation? So this like if was able to see what is going in a heatpipe? The point being?
While interesting, I don't see it as a reasonable replacement for a good tower cooler, since it neither...
While, I don't have a problem taking advantage of a price mistake (the apology coupon they send is worth it), but forcing another retailer to take advantage of what you clearly know is not valid, is fraud.
I sold mine for 350 shipped on ebay, for a side grade to the 970.
The advantage of 780/ti is greater performance in some situations where you are above 2560x1440.
But that might have been driver related, and we only have initial drivers to compare to where most of the reviews are done.
Although, I'm all in favor of big tower coolers (and the cases that fit them). I really don't see the need for them as I used to.
Logic as follows:
1) Newer processors (sandy bridge) + seem to idle quite well.
2) Since they idle quite well, during non-intensive usage their thermal requirements...
You'll be fine, essentially the problem that you run into is that some coolers have vertical heatpipes, and of those coolers some experience a problem where gravity has a stronger effect than the the heat differential on the cooler.
However, any card where the heat pipes are not completely...
Msi LIghtning n780 owner here, and about to be a gaming 970 owner.
A few minor suggestions, which you may or may not have heard before.
On my lightning card the center fan has a somewhat annoying pitch to it, that can be tolerated while gaming but not during normal desktop usage. My case is a...
Perfect condition, still under warranty, yada yada.
I have the original box, but it's huge, so figure another 20 bucks in shipping if you want the original box.

Sadly, Plex doesn't support GPU transcoding, and I'm a special case. Every client locally in my house is a dual core sandybridge with 8gb's of ram or a quad core i5/i7, running windows 8 for mce duties.
As strictly a file server an atom is sufficient, if you want a bunch of sata ports, and...
Plex can direct play, on local networks (it's what I do), and if your internet connection is fast enough on remote connections too. However, chances are if you're streaming to a target outside of your network, either your connection, or theirs will not be sufficient to tackle high bit rate...
The most important question is do you plan on Streaming over your internet connection?
If so you're going to be transcoding, as such it would behoove you to stay away from atom.
I currently Use Server 2012r2, and flexxraid on my home server. My dual core pentium g860 is sufficient for...
What's interesting about this announcement is that the 10tb version is supposed to have both the lowest power utilization and cost per gb.
The only thing that may kind of suck is a setup where you end up having 20TB dedicated to parity!
I'd imagine the configuration is currently 9 3tb drives, with a hotspare. They are going to be using some sort of softraid implementation. So there are about 1000 dollars in drives, 300 in the turner that probably converts mpeg2 to x264, and the bare minimum to run it all. Figure another 400-500...
Thanks to humble bundle and latent guilt for pirating games during the days that you needed floppy discs and a photo copier, I now have 120 games in my steam library that I might play one day. I keep telling myself that.
Yes I paid 15 dollars for this deal, but I think I'm going to play just...
Honestly, your cheapest option would be a Pi.
Since you're not doing full bitrate bluray rips, you won't run into any problems.
I'd sell most of your old equipment and get a pi, or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813135368&cm_re=thin_itx-_-13-135-368-_-Product, pick up...
Well, you should contact Fedex, and they will be able to tell you where it came from.
And honestly, because of how fedex works, if the driver misdelivers a package it comes out of his paycheck. (Or at least that's what I was told).
If it was an error on part of the carrier and not the driver...

On a serious note, I suppose it could have a great usage as a lamp table for the living room. (I'm only half joking).
I'm glad to see them plan to release a giant case, although I personally...
Wow, I totally missed that... and I hate you because now everything is playing in my head.
On a side note, this is one of the articles that I wish everyone on my facebook will actually read. I'll be shocked if out 2% actually read it.
So has anyone been able to confirm or deny that the the 4790k will support VT-D as shown on the link from the forums?
It would be the first K processor's that support this on the non serverish (2011) socket.
Then the only point of going 2011 would be more memory bandwith/capacity and more pcie...
So I got a notification today on my Sprint Note 2, telling me that my area has been upgraded (miami), so while I'm driving to my first appointment this morning.... I tried to download an app from the play store.
Scout (15mb?) took over 10 minutes to download. That works out .2 Megabit/S...
Two things:
1) I'm so buying this day one, instead of waiting for a sale several months later. (A first since COD 2)
2) It's strange that this speech could be interpreted as evil, maybe I have grown cynical in my old age, but it appears to be a fairly accurate account of what the mob wants, even...
You're right, it's not... but here's an example
I have an m1015, and most HBA's that I have seen, have a low profile option, and aren't longer than an itx motherboard.
What I mean, is this... for the people that aren't using a usb bootable O/S,
they are typically using a SSD, or a laptop...
My main complaint about nas cases, and I have a q25, is that they all seem to operate under the delusion that I want a gaming class video card. When What I really want is a quiet case that can cool a non overclocked whatever processor, and have plenty of hotswap bays.
The silverstone case...
If this is actually the guy in question, taking a picture of his house while not bothering to Photoshop out the license plate... to a guy that's worth half a billion dollars, and has no private security is beyond irresponsible.
Also, the "article" read like a grammatically correct forum post...
Thats pretty awesome....
I'm assuming those are a bunch of nas?
One question... how did you integrate the imon display to be useful with XBMC.
I have one but I found the sofftware to be dated, and the remote to be terrible.
But if it can be useful, I'd like to set it up... so it opens up my...
One minor bonus... these retail drives are the only drives that offer you a three year warranty as far I know. My own minor experience, I have 5k3000's, and they are the only drives that don't develop any smart errors over time in comparison to seagates and wd's that I have had for less time...
