just got mine, and this is one really nice monitor.
the only problem I'm having is that it refuses to display 1080p from x360.
other than that, I couldn't be happier. :)
on 3DMark06, my 7600GT(not for long I hope :D) scores 3044 (Atholon64 3000+, 1GB ram). after work I might post some benchmarks of games.
on the 3DMark06 score board the best X850XT PE can acheive is 2221 on almost the same speced PC.
after newegg sent me a 7600GT by mistake rather than the 7900GT that i ordered to replace my 6800Ultra, I thought I'd give it a test before sending it back.. and I was really surprised how well it performed, it was much smoother than the 6800U and I raised all the setting to max on a number of...
where did Askanison go??
did he recieve the monitor, cause I wanna see pics of it in action, and for someone to confirm that it doesn't have the lag of the Samsung 244T.
I just did a search on ebay for the Dell 3007, and there are sellers selling it for $1700-$1800.. how can this be? is it true, or is this a scam
so as most have stated, the lag is most noticable using other inputs on the 2405 other than DVI and VGA. so who ever wants to buy this monitor should just consider using those ports and nothing else?
the problem as explained by docmal is in the DSP and its processing of the signal sent by the VGA card. its not (based on what he stated) a problem of the VGA cards not sending the data fast enough, since large enough CRTs can display 1900x1200 or even higher resolutions without any lag as was...
I went the other day to an Apple store and they had the 30" cinema dispaly hooked up to a G5 Power Mac that had a GeForce 6600 in it. I tried it and tested for any lag, and I didn't notice any lag, and this has much higher resolution than the 24 inchers. and even people who noticed the lag on...
so for most that have voted so far the lag is a no-issue that doesn't degrade the experience.
if the 2407 suffers from the same lag as the 244T, then the 2405 might be the better choice after all, especially since its price has dropped to $800 now.
is the lag in the 244T caused from the panel or the electronics of the inputs?
people using the 2405 say that the most lag is seen when using the component, and on DVI it isn't even noticable.
so maybe the 2407 will use different input electronics and will suffer from less lag.
and by the...
I know that the best way to judge a monitor is to see it in action, so the best people to judge the lag in the 2405 are the guys who own it. does it bother you any if at all? please help us people on the side lines make a decision ;)
I have two screens sitting in front of me now, one is lg l2010p (1600x1200, 16ms), and the other is an acer al1715 (1280x1024, 12ms). i tested them with the PixPer program (you know, "i need more socks" one), and they were completely equal, i even could read things better on the lg. even in...
transperancy antialiasing i think counts as a higher IQ factor, which is totally absent on the x1800xt. so adding that, and the fact that 7900gt at its normal frequency (not overclocked) is almost trading blows with a x1800xt 512 (check out any recent review). I can't see how can the x1800xt 256...
the only true advantage i see for the x1800xt is the HDR+AA, but as i remeber that enabling that will have a huge performance hit which makes it almost worthless.
after the eVGA went out of stock, i didn't wait and ordered the PNY, but now I feel like I made a bad choice, since it seems to be the lowest specd of the bunch, and now you can buy the eVGA (500 core, 1500 ram) for exactly the same price as the PNY. :(
do PNY cards overclock well? please...
so does anyone know if there are any widescreen 23" or 24" AS-IPS going to be realeased soon? cause after the review of the NEC 20" that uses the techonlogy, I think this is the best technology to get, but are there larger screens coming out soon. cause I'd really hate to spend that much money...
is there going to be a 23 or 24" screen that uses the new IPS technology? if there will be I'd rather wait for those. if not, then this is the best option for an LCD screen.
nvidia's gross margin is around 40%, ATI's is near the 20% mark, even thought they are selling their hardware at the moment in a comparable range. means nvidia is producing hardware in a smarter way.
is 2407 using the same panel that acer is using in its AL2416WD? cause that one has almost the same specs and it got a more favourable review from ananadtech than the 2405 except that it lacks all the inputs on the dell.
I'm waiting for the 7900 to come out to upgrade. its only a month away, and given the recent nvidia trend of hard launching, it will probably launch on the same day of announcement.
it would be a bad decision to buy now when you know that the next big thing is only a month away... if it were...
did the problems with FEAR start after you installed 3DMark06? because after i installed 3dmark06 hl2:lost coast bloom effects and water reflections started acting funny (flickering and freezing). after i rebooted my machine (I thought since 3dmark06 installed a DX9c december update, so to get...
can you please post a link to the samsung. and when will that be available?
by the way, doesn't dell use samsung panels, so could it be that samsung is just overinflating the response time on the same panel?
Test it in darker conditions and see how worse it gets, but from the looks of it, you seem to have backlight leakage..
call HP and have them replace it for you.
Hi All,
I'm planning to buy the gyration ultra gt cordless air mouse and keyboard, any feedback or good reviews? did anyone try it? is the mouse game quality?
Thanks!
thanks for the contribution and tell us if you got a better 3rd replacement alex..
I'm biting the bullet and buying one at least.. thanks for all the feedback guys ;)
you're making me have second thoughts now .. maybe more research is in order.
but what about the link that Casca provided, in it was written the following..
can anyone counter those claims.. since he is saying that the response time is slower, as the anandtech article suggested..
they are saying there flat out that the dell has a slower response time.. which should mean that the HP L2335 is better if not for the price. but since the guys here have shown that the f2304 uses the same panel as the l2335, and its in about the same price range as the dell, then it becomes...
I'm planning on getting this monitor (since its price is so low now), but I can't find any decent reviews for it? how good is it, does anyone here have any kind of experience with it? does it use the same panel as the hp L2335, cause that one got a really good review from anandtech, they even...
