Ive been trying to find a decent laptop for under 500 bucks for a present. The person would mainly be using it for web browsing and school, no gaming. I have a few listed here, let me know what you think. Ive been out of the computer game for a while, is there any hardware i should look for...
ha yeah ive been thinking about it actaully. my mobo is socket 939 so it the only upgrade i could get is a X2 dual core. and i dont know if the performance increasce would really be worth the price of one of those processors at this point. plus i think i have to flash my mobo bios to support an...
UPDATE!
ok guys i got my card today and they ended up sending me a 8800gt 512 mb!! thts a pretty bad ass upgrade from a 7900gt! i thought id be get a 320mb gts but nope. seriously evga rocks, i would recomend them to anyone!
haah thats awesome, i havent had any contact from them...fingers are still crossed for something better than my 7900gt. i noticed tht on their site they were out of all the 320 mb 8800gts so who knows what ill get
update:
they shipped the card out yesterday...its scheduled to get to me next wednesday. im DIEING to see what card they sent me. is there a way to find out on their site or anything?
yeah you may have a point there jeffredo. in fact im sure some of the failures are because of that. i had mine OCed but not by much at all.my card was just notorious for having bad memory.
yep, i saw that one. it looks like an awesome keyboard but ill say its pretty far out of my price range, especailly once i get a mouse. i may just have to stick with a wired keyboard and just get a seperate rechargeable mouse. i dont get why they dont make more rechargeable keyboards and...
im lookin for a good wireless rechargeable keyboard and mouse. i really dont want to have to deal with batteries in a mouse and keyboard. ive looked around a bit but i can hardly find any rechargeable wireless keyboards...anybody have any recommendations?
yeah im thinking the same..right now either way im thinking ill be getting a better card in return. im so glad i went with evga..their support is great :D
you definitely should... the 7900 are notorious for this so they most likely will just send you a whole new card...and its worth it if its an upgrade to a 8800gts!
thanks man. last i searched for it was back in june when i got the phone and i didnt find it anywhere, i didnt know they re released it.
anyways..when you upgraded to it did it delete all of your previous txts and notes and things like that that are saved on the phone?
hmm im thinking i should have answered their questions reguarding what watt powersupply and things like that i had when i did the rma..i just left them all blank...hope they dont send me a shitty card since they dont know what im runnin:eek:
ok they accepted my RMA...now i just gotta send it off. got my fingers crossed that i get a 8800gts
i gotta say that ive been impressed by the support at evga, theyve completed each step in the process so far within about a day... which is far quicker than i thought it would be.
i have a blackjack 2 with windows mobile 6.0 and i cant find out how to upgrade to windows mobile 6.1 anywhere. anyone done the upgrade and know where i can get it?
i know the 7900 is notorious for artifacting beacuse of the shitty memory or something on it and thats exactly what mine is doing. my question is if i send it back to evga what will they do? send me another 7900gt or a newer card? has anyone had one replaced lately?
i tried it out on my new zune and i scrolled through an entire 4 minute song in about 4 seconds. i dunno if it would keep building up speed if you held it down longer though but it seemed really fast to me.
ok guys i went ahead and got the new 80gb zune today. all i gotta say is that its pretty bad ass. the ui is amazing, the touchpad works great, the screen looks awesome, and the software is pretty good also. my only complaint is that i really wish it had some kind of equalizer so i could...
what is it that you prefer about the ipod to the zune? if you dont mind me asking.
when it comes to built in features, i like the size of the zunes screen, and the radio tuner is a big plus for me. what i like about the ipod is the games, all of the accessories available, and physical size...
i have gone to the local apple store and played with the ipod and to me it actually seems dated. it was pretty laggy imo and it not having a widescreen really dates it, even though im sure thats why it has a better battery life because of the smaller screen.
when i get off work today im...
trying to decide between these two for an mp3 player. right now im really leaning towards the new zune, but i know the ipod has been in the market alot longer. ugh too hard
ok, im trying to run my xbox sound out of my computer speakers because i have it hooked up to one of my monitors. ive used a y cable on the audio cables from the xbox to run it into the "line in" plug on my computer but the sound that comes out is only mono through one speaker. how come the...
haha, i just tried it out and its true. there is still a very tinny buzz on 97 and over for me but not near as loud when its 96 and below.
but like you said, its still really hard to hear the buzz when its at its loudest, especailly over the sound of the computer fans. :)
hey all, i got the 22" westinghouse LCD monitor for christmas so that i could use it with my previous 19" samsung LCD and wanted to run them in dual view, i had been running the samsung and my old crt in dual for a while. now though with the westinghouse connected it doesnt even give me the...
ive had my 7900gt since about april or may and havnt had any problems out of it, thankfully, and its OCed to the specs in my sig.
i want to get another one for sli but am hesitant since they seem to be hit and miss.
