EDIT: I originally posted that the GeForce 480GTX has Mini-HDMI out in addition to the two DVIs and that the problem was fixed, but I was wrong. The problem showed up after a reboot. False alarm.

You're not stuck. I paid $200 to drop Nextel for AT&T. Money well spent in my opinion. So far AT&T is awesome in New York. I get 1 bar more than my co-worker who has Verizon. Her calls get dropped all the time. Meanwhile I call my voicemail and walk into the closet just to spite her.

Never mind, I found a workaround that I can live with. If you launch the game and then turn the monitor off and then back on, the picture will show up. Hopefully this helps anyone with a similar problem.

If you are using VGA there is an Auto calibration thing in the menu somewhere. That should fix it for you. Also make sure your ARC is on Original and not Full.

I bought a 24" so I can run 1680x1050 without the image looking horrible. For the 37" Westinghouse, it was 1920x1080 with 4x AA or nothing. Sorry, my Westinghouse is now in the living room for TV watching. Since you have a 30", I would recommend staying with that. Also, just for a test.... try...

Also to double back to my previous post, 37" is great if you can do 1920x1080 with 4x AA. The AA is a MUST. Here's a screenshot of WoW for you.

You might want to consider the 40" Samsung for $1400. Although if you are doing PC gaming that might be too big. I know I shelfed my 37" Westinghouse because I couldn't run Crysis at 1920x1080 with a 8800GTX. So I grabbed one of those 24" LG HDMI monitors.

NVidia 8800GTX. Just a reminder so you don't have to search for my post. A game i play forces 800x600 resolution and the LG monitor stretches it. My Westy used to display it properly with black bars on each side.

I don't understand why anyone would want a glossy screen. We have the new iMacs and all you can see on the screen is yourself, the florescent lights, and fingerprints.

This game I play forces 800x600 resolution. The full setting streches the image and the the 1:1 setting makes it the size of the stamp. My Westy used to put black bars on the left and right side. Is there anyway to accomplish that?

This is probably the worst refurbished unit of anything that I have ever purchased. There is a deep scratch on the base and a small scratch on the back. No big deal for those, but the worst is the stuck red pixel. So other than that, it's an amazing monitor.

Weird. I have a 8800GTX, Vista Ultimate x64, and a Westy. The resize works just fine.

I don't plug sound into the Westy. The 360 and PS3 connects directly to the Z-5500 via optical and my PC connects via the 3 jacks (forgot what they are called). Only thing I have plugged into the Westinghouse for sound is my Wii.

It's minor, but I just wanted to post how much I hate that the VGA is labeled as "PC" on the remote. So I have to remember that "PC" is my Xbox360 and DVI1 is my PC.

I called Westinghouse because my component inputs are RIDICULOUSLY bright and washed out. They want to set up a RMA. I don't even know how to begin shipping this thing.

TechLarry, I really don't see what is so special about that desk. You could probably build something similar for cheap just buying the wood from Home Depot, applying the finish, and drilling it yourself.

I did. I used 90 or 99% isopropyl alcohol. I don't remember the percent. But I diluted it 1:1 with water. Maybe I diluted it too much and the water caused the streaking. How safe is it to use 90% alcohol (not diluted at all)?

I asked the same question and someone recommended Monster LCD Cleaner. I haven't tried it yet because I haven't been to BB or CC recently, but I look it up and it's got nice reviews. I tried tap water and diluted alcohol, but both left steaks. Windex worked the best, but I read it's very bad...

How do you guys clean your monitors? I tried a damp towel and it left streaks.
