Currently on vacation in Florida. Be back in 10 days. Cat 9.12 target is Dec 16th. Tons of free games when I come back. Later!
Great article that I think should dispel alot of common misconceptions on CPU bottlenecks vs GPU bottlenecks on [H] forums. I give it an A - or B+ because its lacking min fps.

Should alleviate some concerns about how well it overclocks in comparison to 5870
I would get some aftermarket cooling myself as well for noise

I'm contemplating getting this myself. Any hardcore players playing teams online want to chime in on the multi player experience?
Is it easy to find good teams to play with against?
HEXUS can confirm that one of NVIDIA's strongest AIB supporters, XFX, will be signed up as an ATI (AMD) card partner in the very near future.
What that means is that XFX, with its glitzy marketing and XXX Edition cards, will be bringing all this marketing know-how to ATI's GPUs - presumably...

Yes don't adjust your screens/monitors. Asus really surprised me by not only giving me a 6 business day turnaround, but they gave me a completely new motherboard. (p5qDeluxe).
I used to bash Asus from a board I sent them back years ago, but this recent service completely changed my mine. I...

Keeping an eye on this one. For all you old school MMO players from Ultima Online its supposed to be the closest thing to UO. Uses the Unreal 3 Engine.

Ok I seen few people posting about problems upgrading to 8.8 from 8.7
so this may or may not help but worked for me. Upgraded from 8.7 to 8.8 running smooth now and increased my Vantage score by 600+ points and increased my general fps 3-4 in few games average.
Uninstall 8.6 or 8.7 and...
I'm not new to watercooling however, I never used a GPU loop before. I plan to get the EK full coverage block for the 4870x2 and most of the pics I've seen of wc setups have smaller diameter tubing as opposed to their cpu loops.
Wondering if 1/2" 3/4od is ok for a GPU loop. Or do I need to...

Havent owned an ATI/AMD card since 9500pro so my experience in dealing with customer service is a weee bit limited
Interested in the board and hoping someone on [H] can give their personal owner experience on it. Gonna pair it with an e8500 after price drops and a 4850 and will go in a HTPC/gaming box right next to my Sharp Aquos. Mainly interested in the bios and how fussy/cooperative it is as far as...
Apologize if this doesn't deserve its own thread but this seems noteworthy enough. Thread police flame me.
The first 2 models from the GeForce 9900 series will be 9900 GTX and 9900 GTS instead of 9900 GT we reported earlier. It seems Nvidia has decided to launch them as early as July to...
This is for all the people thinking about getting into WC for the first time.
Finally set my WC up and going to be doing stress testing with Prime95, OCCT all day. So far I'm beyond happy with results. Idle temps are no different from my previous Tuniq Tower 1-2C difference.... but at Prime95...
I'am doing a test leak (outside the pc no computer components) Ran it for 24 hours and ambient temps are 26C. After about 16 hours I noticed some condensation in the reservoir and touching the tubing it was warm to touch. Is this normal? Nothing to worry about?
Test setup:
Loop: Reservoir...
Will be the new 9900GTX and 9900GX2 per Enexpreview
"According to our sources, GT200’s final product name and launch day have been set. Two NVIDIA GeForce card will use the core, they are 9900GX2 and 9900GTX.
It is similar to today’s NV tactic: 9900GX2 just like todays 9800GX2, it...
Just wondering how long the max recommended time frame is between water changes.
Other Question: Do I also have to remove the water when I take the cpu water block off to do any kind of maintenance cleaning? (Just ordered my first WC setup)
Hello WC forum: Please tell me if this looks good. Yes Im a total noob tube to wc. I'm not sure about the tubing size for the D-Tek Fuzion (7/16ID, 5/8 OD ?) for 1/2 " barbs. Will be WC my Q6600.
-D-tek FuZion CPU Water Block
-Dtek FuZion Intel 775 Pro-Mount set

I did a search in this forum but I see so many varying setups and results I'm gonna just ask anyway:
If I switch to watercooling with the following will it be worth the investment of around $250? I'd like to increase my 24/7 overclock to 3.8ghz.
Planned Purchase:
D-Tek Fuzion
120.2 Thermochill...

Originally I ordered from Amazon few days ago for $119 then got an email about some rescheduled shipping nonsense. So it would take another 2 weeks (wtf amazon never again). But I'm glad that happened cuz I found these. - 1 day shipping for me.
I just bought this from Fry's for $139.90 it's on clearance so YMMV. The only difference seems to be the packaging. (Im sure someone here knows can verify)
I looked it up on Newegg (in this package) and PCPC website (newer package)and they appear to be the same. The newer one pictured in the...

This will probably make you say wtf but I'm a total noob to water cooling. So my question is : Is it possible to use a higher heat capacity fluid instead of distilled water like 50/50 Coolant for cars? :p
If you've been keeping up to date with the current state of our beloved Abit boards you already know about the temp readout problems it has with the new e8400 wolfdales/penrynns. As evidenced with by this huge thread over at the abit forums http://forum.abit-usa.com/showthread.php?t=133649
