A motherboard dont fry the memory unless its defect. I see lots of people think if a memory manufacturer say 2.1 or 2.2 is max on memory they think its safe. For example a E6600 cpu say max is 1.5v. Does that mean you should run at 1.5v because you think its safe for cpu. I bet the cpu will die...

That Right i run mine PC8000 at 1.8V with 926MHZ. Even though the OCZ say 2.1v. You people are killing your ram because of high voltage. Always start with 1.8v dont start at 2.1 or 2.2v the first time you use your ram. I have a PC8000 at 1.8v no issues even with overclocked cpu at 3.7GHZ Q9450. Bye

The stock Heatpipes dont make a lot of difference on board. Even though i have reached 3.7GHZ with GA-P35-DS3P. This is not with a stock NB and SB cooling. I did the 463x 8 with 3rd party HR-5 SLI/IFX NB and SB heatsinks by Thermalright. Bye

Try lowering your NB temp to Normal. You do not want to set PCI Express to Auto set at 100Mhz once set dont change it. Anotherwise it will blow your video card or slot. You didnt give us the speed of your memory whether its Pc6400=800MHz or Pc8000= 1000MHz. Bye

The TJmax is 95c on Q9450 the 72.4c is the max core temperature it can go up too its Not a tjmax. Now someone might say the TJMax is 60c on 65nm cpus too. When in reality its the core temperature and on 65nm the TJmax was 85c for Dual core.

The TJMax of Q9450 is not 71.4c that is a max core temp the processor can go up too just like 60c limit was set on 65nm cpus. I say the TJmax is 85c or 95c. The 85c seems more accurate to me. get realtemp 2.60 the coretemp is wrong. The tjmax is 95c for q9450 not as coretemp default 105c.

The Max temp i get is 32c idle and 46c 100% Loaded on Q9450 at 3.4GHZ vcore 1.28. I only do overclock because video encoding reduction times. I dont do it for games. Right now a 3 Hour video takes 27 mins on nero 7. If i take to 3.6GHZ the time of enconding is same. So there is no point for me...

realtemp is to believe you can adjust the tjmax on realtemp and coretemp in setting.ini to 95c or 85c.

It says my system temp is 31c and cpu temp is 22c in Bios.

So your saying the Bios is off because its set as 85c TJMax. Even though the bios dont use the Probes.

I placed it on the thermalright ultra 120 eXtreme heatsink. Then i checked it with a bios reading it was almost accurate 29c. So thats how i judged it. So my conclusion came as TjMax as 85c on Q9450. I could be wrong. It might be 95c as realtemp default setting.

The +0.5 dont work like 8.5 in Gigabyte Board GA-P35-DS3P it works as 7.5 Not 8.5. If it does can someone provide screenshot of it cpu-z.

I just tested it. I think the TJMax is 85c for Q9450. I dont know why realtemp think its 95c and coretemp think its 105c.
