Does the same here with a Asus P67 board / GTX280.
Looks like it's the timing of the 1024x768 screen that is being used,
and how your monitor and video card handle it, some cant.
My Panasonic monitor displays only a part of the image.
Asus seemed uninterested in the problem when I reported...
Called about when a replacement MB would be available
and was given a choice to wait a month or so, contact Asus, or get a refund on the MB.
I mentioned the CPU is of little use without a MB and they said it could be returned as well.
I took the offer.
Think I'll sit this upgrade out for a...
Should they?
I've not heard a word about the recall from anyone, sure those who read engadget or visit forums are aware of it but that's a small percentage of pc owners I'd think.
Did you hear from you dealer?
Sleep works fine here on 1253 with win7 x64 on a x25m ssd.
Best thing I did to get the system stable was to cut the over clock from 4.8 to 4.0,
And run the memory at 1333 instead of 1600, everything else is pretty much auto in the bios.
I'm sure I could up those some but I need a 100% stable...
I have the shutdown hangs issue with an XP install , but Win 7 is fine on the same machine.
So I guess it's not bios settings must be a driver, is it the chipset that would control this?
Anyone tried different versions of chipset drivers?
Just did a XP install on a P8P67 Pro.
Solved the flagged devices but getting a BSOD right at the end of shut down?
Update it was
btathusb.sys causing the bluescreen, bluetooth driver disabled it for now.
Might be worth holding off until Asus gets a new revision or two of the original board out,
not just the chipset change.
The current board seems very 1.0 with it's sleep and memory compatibility errors?
I assume the window to swap boards will be a long one think I might wait or just go for a...

Asus is offering a refund option, so effectively that allows us to upgrade to Z68.
In the mean time I'm just not using the defective ports.
Unless you really need the 4 ports this is a good thing that has happened, we get to use the p67 board for...
Thinking about this, I'm so glad I upgraded before the recall !
Those of us who did have 4.6GHz machines, today.
Can't even buy the MB anymore.
Lots of SATA ports on the Asus Pro that work perfectly fine and USB 3, etc.
Why return it now, just keep it use the other many ports that work fine?
The CPUs are great overclockers why give that up, you can always exchange later if needed.
Thanks for the posts, interesting to see the different settings people are using.
I can't get my system stable if the ram is 1600, at 1333 it's fine.
Was at 4800 for a couple days but it blue screened today as a video encode was ending,
At 4500 my voltages are much lower.
Now at
46x 100...
Do you have your P8P67 overclocked to 4.7GHz + and able to run memory at 1600 ?
Consider yourself lucky or smart :)
If you have minute,
please post your memory type and settings,
maybe overclock settings and bios version, too.
It seems many of us can not get over 1333
even with...
I've been running OCZ Gold sticks in a X58 board at 1600 for sometime,
but in the P8P67 I can't get them to work at that speed, only 1333.
They are rated 1600 8-8-8 1.65V, and would run at even less volts in the old system.
1600MHz DDR3
CL 8-8-8-24 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS)
Any suggestions for the...
Interesting replies, but I still am not clear ?
I'd like to see the max overclock I can get with a peak of 1.375v into the CPU.
With my X58 board I would just set Allow VDroop and vCore of 1.375
and that would be the max voltage ever delivered to the CPU with any multiplier
and the voltage...
Anyone give a good example of how max CPU voltage can be predicted ?
It's seems related to offset , load line cal, and a base voltage.
Setting those to auto with a 45x mult shows 1.38 peak in CPUz under light load.
I'd like to put in specific settings and try to reduce the peak voltage used...
My bios screen is cut off when trying to view it on a HDTV monitor over HDMI.
It appears to be outputting a unsupported HDMI resolution 1024x768 or 1280x1024?
Some sets have adjustments to allow those to display but many do not.
Found a number of people having this issue
as 32-40" or...
