I think this is very cool. I love the sound you get even from the simple cardboard box, to me it's kind of unexpected which makes it intriguing.
I think it needs some more creative processing, the sounds were a little raw, but as a visual learner and a lover of music this really does it...
Using "its" as the subject of the parenthetical clause is incorrect, because the authors don't appear to be referring to "clues" which is the subject of the previous clause. The authors appear to be referencing "peer" which isn't the subject, or even the object of the preceding clause, it's...
Intel usually does have two processes that they implement -- one low power and one high-clock.
Why they haven't scaled the frequency more.... ? I think that's a complicated question.
You have to remember that smaller transistors could mean faster frequency... except you have to consider...
it is cool to watch, but there's almost no appropriate outcome that would warrant tethering my arm or body to my computer to do anything. I even hate corded mice.
But hey, free arduino with purchase...

Very cool stuff.
A 7L tank would have a heat capacity of 29300J/degree C. So if the computer is putting out 40W on average that would raise the water temperature 5 C per hour assuming you can dump all the heat into the tank.
So if the water starts out at 15C (59F) then you've got 3-4 hours until you start...
I'm using an asynchronous USB source, meaning it slightly buffers the usb data, and the audio and is therefore relatively immune to interference from your computer. It's like a 'brick' that you can throw on or under your desk and you control it via software. It has a headphone amp as well as...
AMD only does design - not fab anymore, they spun that off to Global Foundries.
IBM and Globalfoundries work extremely close together on process development, co-occupying their development sites.
Also, you have to read through the PR speak - this amounts to 2,500 new jobs across the state...
actually Steve himself posted this story on May 4th, with a video no less! It does mention Ivy Bridge

The quote on the front page, while verbatim from the Business Insider article, is incorrect. The chips did NOT (according to the Wired article which appears to be the original source...) have a backdoor in them.
Wired merely speculated that someone could put a backdoor in counterfeit...
I would never recommend getting a raptor, especially if you don't notice the SSD, you will never notice the raptor, except that it is hotter and louder (well the old ones were anyway).
If you do end up swapping, go for something big 1-2TB as at least you will have a use for it in the future...
This does not appear to come with the "spacer" that the intel retail box SSD's come with.
I'm talking about the black band that screws into the top of the drive, bringing it from 7mm to 9.5 mm in height for installation in some laptops.
Can anyone confirm that this does or does not come...
IMO, the current stock price for LinkedIn is WAY overvalued.
at $100/share, the company is valued at nearly $9 billion, while it's profit last year was $15 million on ~$290M in revenue. This is much lower than even other 'startups' with growth potential and similar valuations.
So, no scam...
this is silly, and whoever wrote that blog entry is an idiot. From the original article, the white house issued a report that urges Congress to clarify that infringement by streaming . . . is a felony in appropriate circumstances.
This is far from "The Fed has announced that soon the...
Loved Carmageddon 2 and the original. Was pretty disappointed that this wasn't actually a mod to let you play carmageddon style within GTA. That would be really sick and it seems possible.
What a terrible marketing job. An apparently brief announcement with few facts, and a poorly spun blog article. Intel Insider appears to be a movie service, no wait its a content protection hardware feature of the 2011 core processor, no wait its "Not DRM".
The technology in the 2011 core...
there has been talk of integrating 'sensors' into the typical RGB pixels of LCD monitors, so you might have red, green, blue, touch, and visual "sub-pixels" at each point on your monitor.
The unfortunate thing is that if they did that, the scan quality would be relatively low as monitors are...
This is merely a case of poor implementation on the iPhone.
There is no reason for a remote wipe to touch any non-email data, and certainly not to brick your phone.
If you run Android with touchdown, touchdown will accept a remote wipe, and it will delete all your exchange email for that...
yeah, I don't see a clear legal argument against this. It's not a free speech issue, not an invasion of privacy. You don't have the right to use copyrighted content on any device you want. This is the sad truth.
Soon cable operators will offer IP-based video to all their customers and it...
How does the state properly demonstrate that it has 'destroyed' the documents amazon sent? Especially if there was digital copy?
Also, I would think that beyond just giving names and 'total purchases', you would have to obfuscate the "total" amount if only 1 item was purchased, otherwise the...
as evidenced by failure to pay a myriad of rebates and inaccessibility of customer service.
Ordered WD15EARS in March, never got the rebate, and don't think I will, just read my review on reseller ratings and the others there. They have a lifetime rating of 8.24 and recently dropped to 4.5...

this is how I watched the winter olympics, re-streamed from foreign networks. NBC certainly had no live coverage.
The pathetic part is this is proposing 4mbps for these people in 2020 I think I would kill myself before moving somewhere that had that level of service.
Honestly, I"m on FIOS now and have resisted moving closer to where I work because they only have time warner and there service sucks.
for the record typing this on a m1330, wouldn't buy anything bigger. I have a "desktop" at home (mITX, smaller than a shoe box) and a 24" 16:10. Use a 17" external and BT keyboard when I'm at my desk at work with the laptop.
Haven't read the article, but the author likely just needs to...
I've been doing this with the "multiple inboxes" labs feature for a while now. Unread mail at the top, starred mail in the middle and everything else at the bottom. That way I can let messages sit unread or starred and not get lost in my inbox.
Seems they've added auto prioritization which...
you could say that onboard sata 6g isn't needed when you have a PCI-E open also ;)

get the gigabyte. I just ordered one.
run a real memory benchmark and compare it to other published values for h55 boards. its the only way to know if you have a problem. comparing amd to intel is usually not straight forward
this appears targeted for discreet ICs like for a router or dedicated VPN box.
They have AES-NI in some of the new Core processors.
If they really cared about "innovation" they wouldn't have crippled the AES-NI instructions from the Core i3 Processors. Its all about the money.
