I was going through heck trying to figure out how to get everything wired up in my living room.
Thread here
All I had to do was buy 2 of these.
Now my xbox360 and HTPC can share the single cat5e line that I had installed.
Best thing since sliced bread.
I felt like checking to see if my old computer (which was in several pieces in several boxes) still worked so I slapped in a P4 1.6Ghz CPU I had bought last year for like $30, my old abit IT7max board and thermalright SP-94 heatpipe, some horrible vga card, 512mb of ddr ram, an old 120gb ide...
Hey guys, I'm trying to plan out wiring my home.
I have ethernet ran throughout the house. 7 rooms in total all coming back to a control box in a storage room.
In that room I will have my cable modem, a dd-wrt router, and a D-Link DGS-2208 unmanaged switch.
My plan is to have the switch...

FIC VG61 Ice-Cube P4 Complete Computer, all you need is a monitor.
Includes:
Intel Pentium 1.6Ghz OC'd to 2.08Ghz (stock voltage, completely stable
using prime95 but I can take away overclock if you prefer)
512mb DDR333 PC2700 (there is a 2nd slot if you want to add a 2nd...
I have an IT7 max with the latest abit bios on it. When I select by CPU 4:3 cpu/ram ratio in bios, CPU-Z and wcpuid both say I'm running 1:1 in windows. Its weird because I can actually OC higher this way than if I were to put 1:1 high or low strap in bios. Here is my sandra cpu benchmark...
I have 2 60 gig hdds and a IT7 mobo that supports raid 0+1. I would like to try raid zero but can't find the directions for how they should be hooked up. Should each drive have its on cable or should they share one? thanks
I'm currently running my 2.26Ghz (177~181 FSB) at stock voltage and my Ram at 2.8v (highest in my bios). Problem is, sometimes the computer will get hung up when starting with Bios code A7. I know it has something to do with my RAM but its not a completely defined code. (checked the abit...
i currently have a 92mm tornado but would like something quieter. I already have a fan holder to hold the fan above the heatsink so thats not a problem. thanks
I'm trying to fix a friend's computer. It is a compaq and has XP Home on it. Problem is someone tried to do a defrag on it and ever since then it restarts after the loading windows screen is about finish. I can get into it in safemode and have tried doing system restores but its not working. is...
I have the system below and are using the RAID channels on my IT7 as regular IDE channels so I could hook up all my HDD's which are mostly used for Mp3's and Video's.
It could just be in my head, but if I disconnect all of the Hdds but 2, my computer feels like it runs faster. Would it help if...
i don't have much cash and I'm not trying to upgrade a lot, just a little if possible. Right now I'm stuck using a Graphics card out of a Dell machine I had bought. I'd love to spend less than $70 on a new or used card, any suggestions? thanks
I have a 2.26D and some Kingston KVR333 DDR Ram. SP-94 and 92mm tornado with Antec 430W TruePower PS. I can get up to 180FSB stable in windows, but whenever I OC anywhere from 155 to 185 FSB (have gotten into windows at 195 FSB),my computer will not want to start if it has been off for a little...
I just painted the inside of my case with blue metallic spray paint and I'm not sure if I sand this kind of paint or not? I have some 1500 grit to use if I am supposed to sand it.
Also, do I put a clear coat over it or will that mess up the look? I know you're not supposed to with chrome...
I recently ordered some tornado fans for my case and its in the proces of being modded. So out of curiousity, I hooked up one of the fans to my 400sc just to see how powerful it is. WOW this thing pushes some crazy air and it sounds like a leaf blower.
I bought 5 of them to be used as case...
My fan bus says it can handle 18w and 1.5 amps per channel. My tornados pull a max of 9.1 watts and .76 amps. Is this to close to the max limitation of my fanbus to connect two per channel or should it be fine? thank you
Trying to find some molding for my window and blow holes and don't want to have to order it off the internet. any stores sell it like home depot or something? thanks
I've been sanding the top peice with 150 grit for about 30 mins and i'm only half done. this is killing me. can i just spray the primer on it and sand that instead?
I have some dual device round IDE cables but only want to hook up one device per cable. Can I just cut of the 2nd connector and use it as a single device cable? thanks
I have an Antec True Power 430watt PSU. 6 HDDS, 2 optical drives, AGP and 3-4 PCI cards. So far I have 4 80mm Tornado fans a 92mm Tornado for my CPU all controled by baybuses. I'd like to add 4 more 80mm LED fan (controled by switches). Can my PSU handle all of this and still be used to safely...
I badly want to paint my monitor but since it seems to not be a common mod, I'm a little scared. I know about the huge charge the monitor holds even when its not plugged in and how to discharge it. Depending on how gutsy I feel this weekend, I may do it along with the plexi glass/interior light mod.
Here's what it looked like after the police recovered it.
JK :D. This actually came from me wanting to remove my Mobo tray so I could cut a hole in it and put all my wires behind in. Along the removal process, i realized I had to remove the bottom of the case to...
Thats my next project and was just wondering what kind of numbers people are/were able to get with this CPU. Mine has D1 stepping so hopefully I'll have a winner. thanks
I have the brackets that will actually hold the zip drive in place, but i need the plastic cover that goes around it. the computers at my school have them so I know they exist, just can't find them anywhere. thanks
which one is better for P4? The SLK-948 says its for 3.2GHZ and up while the SP-94 says its for 3.06GHZ and up. So is the SLK-948 a better cooler? thanks
currenty I have 4 80mm antec fans in my case blowing 17.3 CFM each. 2 pulling air in the front and 2 blowing air out the back. Is this enough cooling or would I do better with fans blowing around 30 CFM? Would that make any helpful difference?
I have this case Antec SX1040BII and was wondering if it would be worth it mount a fan to the top or side of the case to pull hot air out. Currently i have 2 fans in front pulling cool air in. one is blowing over 3 of my hdds. Then there are 2 more fans on the rear pushing air out the back...
Trying to get some good airflow in my case but read that some round cables can corrupt data and cause other probs. What are the best quality round cables out there? thanks
I already have 4 of them because they were $1.50 each. They are still in the packages and I was wondering how they are compared to other fans with the same stats. thanks

I also have a couple of these...
I was checking out the SP-94 and other CPU coolers and the nice one's seem to be over 700grams and intel says to only have 493grams on the CPU. Has anyone ever had a problem with running a heavy CPU cooler? The computer won't be moving much at all.
Over clocking a 2.26B and I'm trying to hit 3Ghz. I want to make sure I have more than enough cooling. Would a $40 air cpu fan and heatsink be enough to accomplish this task? If so, could you please give me some suggestions on which one to buy? thank you very much.
forgot to add the mobo...
Its with my roommates computer.
