If you read the post properly, you would proably be less confused :p
He wants his main vid card(either agp or pcie, whichever) to have two monitors plugged in. He then wants to use a PCI slot to put in another card and run a third monitor off of that video card.
Well, am I really going to see a huge difference either way?
My real question is this: Is the X2 going to outperform the 3700+ in gaming? In windows, I'm sure it will dominate. Like, if the X2 runs on par with the 3700+ in gaming, I will be happy. If it runs better, that's awesome... if...
I am currently trying to decide between the X2 3800+ and the 3700+ San Diego.
The 3700+ will run me around $320 Canadian, the X2 3800+ probably around $400-410 Canadian.
The main differences I am seeing are the 3700+ has 1mb of l2 cache, where the X2 3800+ has 512kb l2cache per core. The...
i will pick it up assuming that it will run fine with a 20 to 24 pin adapter. specifically from my antec aria psu.
can anyone confirm or offer advice to this matter?
Hey all..
My PSU only has a 20pin connector, the mobo I am getting is a 24pin connector. the mobo im waiting on is the biostar tforce6100/410 and i heard there were issues with using this motherboard without a "True" 24pin connector. I was just going to buy a 20pin to 24pin adapter, will i...
This is probably a dumb question, is there such thing as 20pin to 24pin adapter? I have a power supply that I wanted to use but the motherboard needs a 24pin.. the psu/case is proprietary so there isn't a way of changing it.
What are my options?
Hi all, I have an antec aria that I am looking to upgrade to s939 as my old barton is just too slow nowadays. :)
can anyone recommend some nice s939 boards? AGP or PCIE doesnt matter, preferably 4x ram slot and 2x sata connectors but just post anything you know of if possible...
thank you!
Temps, PICS!!! and I'd love to know how the cooling on the inside is.. maybe some pics of the inside of the case if possible?
also how much did you pay for the case if you dont mind my asking?
yup i applied it the exact same way i do everytime. it may of smeared a bit or something which is possible, i will crack it open and take another look when i get home and make sure everything is ok. oh btw, it is running at default, i havent even ventured into OCing yet with these temps :P...
im using as5.
my temps before were around 47celsius idle and up to 58-59celsius while gaming.
oh, btw, the temps in the aria are with the sidepanels and top cover off.
What kind of idle and active temps are you getting on your barton cores?
i just installed mine and its running idle at around 67 degress celsius, which is much much hotter than in my old case. for those of you not familiar with the aria, the cpu fan is about half covered by the PSU so...
I tried the CPU in another motherboard but that motherboard was AGP not PCIE. Yes I have tried swapping the memory between slots, different sticks, etc. It's really hard for me to test the video card elsewhere because I don't know anyone with a PCIE board that isn't out of the way. im getting...
ok so i pulled the board out of the case.
so i have the mobo, cpu in, 1 stick of ram, and video. power on, fans spin up, no beeps, no video.
cleared cmos. power up, same thing.
i'm stumped..i know the cpu is working fine as i tried it in another board and it worked with no problems...

hi
I'm using an asus a7n8x-e deluxe board. when i hook my 160gb ide drive up to it, it freezes at the detecting ide drives... part. any suggestions as to how to fix this?
Socket A/400FSB
3x DIMM(2x will be fine..)
SATA
Onboard LAN/6 Channel audio(Prefer nforce2 chipset)
Or could anyone point me in the direction of a nice micro atx mobo with sata/socket a?
I thank you all very much for your help, I think I have fixed the issue.
It seemed to be a combination of a faulty RAM stick and faulty NIC drivers. I've been running good for about 30 minutes now, which is literally about 10times longer than it's ever lasted since the issue started. Here's...
