after using the wireless 360 pad for years if finally upgraded to a wired xbox one pad. I now am going back and enjoying games that work best with the d-pad. THe 360 d-pad remains an abomination and most pc games that use thumbsticks are better served with a mouse and keyboard anyway.
The problem I see is its about twice as expensive as it seems its worth, and most importantly the height does not appear to be adjustable. Anyone who really uses a standing desk knows that if it isn't at elbow height your going to end up with pain.
If you are worried about being completely removed from you surroundings, try open back headphones. Unless you live in a noisy environment they sound better to many people and will let you hear shit going on around you.
Ive been using:

for about 2 years now. I am pretty much convinced its the best for HTPC purposes. Geez at 30$ its a steal I paid 70$ when i bought one...
I don't think its a matter of the speed the ship is traveling, The planets are just very, very small from what I can tell. Take the space to surface bit that starts at 2:11. You can see individual floating rocks that hover above the surface from space. Since you can watch features gradually...
Yea that's what I was thinking of when I saw this E3 trailer as well. The infinity engine demo you linked gives a much much better feel of the huge scope space. In No Man's Sky you go from surface to orbit in like less than 10 seconds? It is still nice to be able to seamlessly do that but man...
AnandTech has a review up; http://www.anandtech.com/show/7933/the-desktop-kabini-review-part-1-athlon-5350-am1
Its close to being able to play a few recent games at 1280x1024. stands up pretty well to competitors in its price & power bracket.
Offline a game like UMVC3 is the most fun I have gaming anymore. It just as fun to watch the pro's go at it as well. Check out http://www.twitch.tv/teamsp00ky if you want to see some pro's playing all the major games today down in Atlanta.
I'm just a bit curious about this, so are you talking about a refund for a downloaded game that does not work? I've never had an issue with steam games just flat-out not working.
I'm going to give this game another try. Tried before and needed to use a gfx improvement patch. I gave up when I started to get owned by invisible monkeys. Were they supposed to be invisible, or was there a problem with my install?
For me at least there is no way to easily start a steam game if I didn't put it into offline mode before I went offline. My solution: leave it offline by default unless I need to get into the store. Then i take it back offline after i'm done using the online features. Most of my steam games are...
I will be picking this up on steam, has anybody making fun of this ever seen it played? Look up "UFGT8 divekick" on youtube or something. The concept is a joke and was meant to be. Just happens that everyone that plays it has fun.
Also are the game engines not able to divide up the memory for the beginning? Like say dedicate 2 GB of the GDDR5 to the GPU and leave the other 6 to the CPU? Im no software or hardware engineer but that seems like a way to avoid overhead associated with dividing up the memory on-the-fly...
The APU that AMD is going to release that is similar to the chip they made for the PS4 should work nicely in something like this. I still think they should go with something with more of a HTPC look like a mITX version of the silverstone ML03B w/o the optical drive. Although I have to admit a...
Wonder if there is any hope of finding a replacement power cable that is angled the other way? I also have the Seasonic X-750 and I would pay a few dollars to not have to crack it open to fit the side 120mm fan. looking for this now I'll update if I find a cheap alternative.
I've been spoiled by [H] reviews. I'm tired of see blind application of MSAA instead of using FXAA when it makes sense on other sites. Also, we have only 1280x1024 and 1080p resolutions. Kind of shocking that after a few years nobody has bothered to step up to the standard being set here...
Yea this is probably it. My 7850 was fine until I updated to win7 sp1. Grey screens that require a hard boot about once a week. The theory I picked up was that Firefox was to blame. Possibly its flash+firefox+SP1 and the 7000/600 series of cards. Flash being the cause makes a ton of sense...
The regular 360 d-pad is as bad as it gets for this type of game. I'd use the stick instead. PDP controllers sold at gamestop would be a good replacement if you don't want to drop what it costs to get soemthing like a Madcatz AE stick.
Also see if there is any game-mode setting for your...
Wow this is my next case for sure. I was looking at the SG03 but this one gives you room for a full tower cooler for only about 32 cubic inches more of volume, essentially the same volume. Also unlike the cube-type matx cases it might fit into something other than a duffel bag. This should be...
I would guess two 7970's would put you at about 90% (584W / 650W) of your PSU's capacity if everything was at stock clocks/voltages. I wouldn't run a power supply that hard in my system.
It's hard to find a good review with a 1100t x6 and x-fired 7970's, so I had to make some guesses about what...
I've had the Cideko for about 7 months and I think its pretty great for couch keyboarding.

Its about the size of a fat smartphone so if you hate typing with your...
If they are gonna call the blog this came from "today in tech" the could go and do something like figure out how fast the realistic speed of the 4g would break the data cap. Using the theortical max speed is lazy as hell. I guess 10 minutes is more of a attention grabbing headline.
I came to add this. I don't think Eternal Darkness was mentioned anywhere but that game was fairly scary as well. First scary game i ever played was the original Alone in the Dark on PC. Also Silent Debuggers for turbo graphics 16 back in the day.
Wow good for Intel. I would have suspected that profits would be outstanding given their competition in the PC space is asleep at the wheel. But revenue? In the face of low margin netbooks powered by atoms and the tablet craze that is impressive.
Just a thought here, I had a slow steady decline of service quality with AT&T over the past 6 months and I was about to switch over to Verizon, when I stumbled across a forum post somewhere that suggested turning 3g service off in the house. It made a 100% difference. I can make calls from the...
It would have been nice if they would have made this a white pcb like the old ones they used to make for socket 939. It was about the only thing to like compared to its more polished competitors' boards.
I don't get pre-ordering except in rare cases. Most developers are prone to making some bad games and there are like a couple that I have the kind of confidence in to buy sight-unseen, let alone full price. I see it as a sign of goodwill and elevated support from the fanbase. Kinda like going to...
Funny after re-watching the new character trailers Im getting some second thoughts. Firebrand is looking an awful lot like Wolverine and Ghost rider has a bit too much Dormamu in him. That's actually a big deal, and sets a bad tone for what the rest of this expansion pack has in store. This...
I'm getting ready, if it comes in at 40$ i'll pick it up without a second thought. I believe shuma and jill are included, so that would be good for me but id be a bit salty if I had bought them.
I would have preferred that they just give us Strider and Ghostrider DLC, tweak X-factor, nerf a...
I hope AMD does not/rethinks cutting down the SP's in the lower end chips, It kind of defeats these chips' purpose of not needing a dedicated video card. The HD Graphics 3000 is no slouch, and if those new i3's are coming out swinging with 12EU's I might have to rethink my llano HTPC/ light...
I think Gabe is on to something here. His examples are a rough mock-up of how this system could work but the core idea is sound. Players that promote a good multiplayer experience add to the value of the games they play, and that can drive more sales. Rewarding them with lower prices is probably...
Im glad somebody really tried to see what kind of an OC could get out of this thing. Its a cool product, but my HTPC is going to need a bit more grunt. Getting tough to keep waiting for Llano.
1-3 different forms of entertainment have their own strengths. Id expect a movie to have a better story because its game play and controls suck. Also if all you want is a good story then you are looking for a book.
4+5 Variety, Different types of games for different moods. They are all good...
